Dizzy had her first dentist appointment yesterday (old owner didn't get them done not sure about when she was in ireland) and she was a super star! She stood very very still and calm for the incredibly lovely dentist my yard uses (he really takes his time with them). He smoothed everything over at the back as they were razor sharp and he said that should help with the napping. He also said that she still had 3 baby teeth. When I said her passport puts her at 4 and a half he raised his eyebrows and expressed he believed her to be younger more coming up to 4 than over it.
Would be interesting to see if you guys agree?
She also had her first farrier visit this morning and she was a little monkey because everyone else was in the field and she wasn't. She was stropping around pulling back and breaking loose. Farrier is amazing though he promptly told her to stop being so silly and had her trotting around him in the yard when he walked back over to his truck she followed then stood for him without being tied up for the rest of the time perfectly!!!! He said her fronts were unbalanced and the last farrier put shoes on to small for her so he has corrected that but said it will take a few sessions to get her fronts completely right.
Now we only have the physio and saddler left to go this weekend then we can start work properly in comfort and I will know if the napping is behavioural or pain!
God this week is expensive haha!
