Another one with tears in her eyes. And how lovely to hear of a hospital putting a patient's needs above "cleanliness", "health and safety" etc. Tissues here too please.

Choked but how nice the hospital respected her wishes to say goodbye. I hope I will be as lucky. What a darling pair of horses.

It made me cry too. What a gorgeous photo.

My friend died of cancer and we weren't even allowed to take flowers onto the ward for risk of germs. Hats off to the hospital.

I read that the week before they let her see one of her dogs and then this week two of her horses - it's a story I keep coming upon today on the various news pages/web and makes me well up every time. It is the thought of that last breath of your horse on your face and getting to get that scent of them again in your nose.
