Ok here goes....
My new horse (came to me beginning of may) bites thin air when in the stable. Very snacky, clacking her teeth together. She doesn't bite people or the door. I noticed that her tongue is bright red on the lateral edges with missing skin. Looks almost skinned. I'm a vet nurse and have asked at work if anyone has any ideas. All we're coming up with is she's coming into contact with something caustic. She eats the same feed and haylage as my others and is turned out in the same paddock. So......
Basically has anyone come across something like this before?
TIA x
