Seems today is a bad day.

Dani got called to go to the stables at 9pm this eve, to find Gem unable to breath properly.
Got vet out and possible pneumonia. Could be alot of other things. Not sure yet.

Dani has let me hear Gem's breathing over the phone... not sounding too healthy tbh.

Off to vet college at midnight if no improvement.

Wish her luck loading the ginger beast.

She needs all your vibes right now... they've been through so much.

I have just got home. I feel numb.
Gem is very very ill, they need to run more tests to get a clear prognosis, but part of her lung has 'died' apparently, and they have suggested either pneumonia or possibly cancer. Either way, she is not in a good way. She will be at the vet college for a minimum of 10-14 days and this is going to be a long haul.
At least the plus point is that she loaded into the trailer first time! Last time we took her to the vet college (November - accident prone horse anyone?) it took 3 hours and 7 people to load her onto the lorry.
