Vibes for little Jessie please

So very pleased to hear the latest update. Hopefully being home will be a great help to her progress now. I guess she will be a bit needy now, she doesn’t understand why her humans disappeared.
Isn’t it funny how we on hho get so invested in some threads, willing on animals to pull through, even though I bet 99% of us have never met!
 
She is doing wonderfully well. Mostly due to steroids I guess. Eating like a horse, drinking lots and still clingy but we can live with that. We had the full report from the vet hospital overnight all is as expected with a few negatives generally, but a fairly positive outlook.

Apart from they accidently found during xrays she has severe osteoarthritis in both hips secondary to hip dysplasia. Not entirely surprised, we did have her looked over a couple of times when she had a slight limp and her walk is a little lopsided but our vet seemed to think she was OK, obviously not, but at that time it may not have advanced so much as it shows now on her xrays.

We will discuss what that might mean going forward when she goes back in a few days, but initial thoughts are just keep her pain free and comfortable for as long as possible. Unless of course they think she is a good candidate for surgery but I think that is unlikely now looking at the full report of everything going on.

But she is very happy and waggy so we are happy too. :)

Just a very quick (for me!) post thanking you all very much for all your very welcome vibes for little Jessie I am sure they have helped enormously. For reasons that some may be aware of I am finding the forum a bit heavy going just now, as those who know me will already be aware, button pushing and nasty threats to shut down differing opinions is one of my pet hates on an otherwise enjoyable and open forum. My use of the forum is for fun, sometimes informative and also serious discussion from time to time. Sadly I do not feel I have the freedom any longer to express myself honestly and openly, democracy has walked out the door on here too it would seem, to many Trumpers toadying up to their leader perhaps!😂

I just want to thank so many of you who really are great people and have supported me in many times of great distress and personal sadness, some others not so much. :rolleyes: So off on my holidays for a nice long break it is.;) xx
