Thank you all - it's very much appreciated x

Sadly, Henny was PTS a few hours ago, the neurological damage was just too great :( Vet reckons with the speed of it all, it must have been anti-freeze - no idea where she would have got it from, but there could have been a puddle of it somewhere I suppose.

To say I'm devastated would be an understatement, H had been abandoned as a tiny kitten and I was so determined to give her the best life I could. Can't quite believe it to be honest.

Thanks to you all once again, and for beating the troll with a big AAD stick x

Oh no, so sorry :( but at least she had some happy time with you x

I do remember hearing a radio report about antifreeze (not screenwash, I used to confuse the two ) leaking down through the engine in bad weather and gathering in puddles so you might have something there - when you're up to it, try and chat to any neighbours just to warn them/see if they have experienced similar.

If PR was big enough they would come and offer condolences and an apology rather than criticising, I hope they are utterly ashamed, but I am sure that is the last thing on your mind x

Oh my word, NN :( I'm so very, very sorry to hear that. :( How very tragic. I'm sure the short but happy time that Henny had with you, and all the love you gave her, meant a lot to her. Fraggle sends you snoozy cuddles. xxx

I spent the afternoon scouring the garden for anything I thought might be remotely dangerous - the garden is shared but only two flats have keys, me and one other (the two ground floor flats) and neither of us have a car at the moment  I was even raking through bins to see if anyone had chucked out any dead lillies/mouse traps etc  Will speak to the rest of the neighbours tomorrow just in case.

Thanks again guys x

Oh no poor little mite :'( so sorry for you NN. You gave her a brilliant life from a terrible start. Thinking of you and lots of spangally kisses and cuddles from Pixel. Hopefully you'll find out whet it was. Wish I could take the pain away. Sweet dreams little one :(

Poor little kitty :( Antifreeze is horrid stuff.

Maybe she just even walked through it and then then licked her paws. Thats what happened to friends kitty.

Think I should pubilcly answer youre PM - I didn't know you had moved houses between when your spaniel died and your kitten. So Im sorry about that. :(
Otherwise i stand by my posts. If youd been a new poster with that history youd have been ripped apart on here for being careless with your animals

RIP kitty

No, she wouldn't, one dog died from an aggressive tumour and one cat has very sadly died of poisoning, whether she was new or otherwise.

If you want to beat AADers with a stick and call us all bullying, cliquey bitches, go ahead, you're obviously gagging to, just take it somewhere else, eh, not on the thread of a grieving girl who clearly loves her pets?

And then prepare to contradict anyone who has ever received help and support on here.

Personally I don't think that answers my PM in the slightest, but thank you for replying.

Now, please, go away and leave me and this forum alone. I think (well, hope) the rest of AAD feel the same.

ETS: Thanks CC, proved my point for me x

No she wouldnt. What a silly thing to say. :(
NN please take no notice, we arent being kind for the sake of being kind because you are 'one of us' as PR is suggesting. You are not careless and it is unfortunately one of those things that happen however careful we are we cannot protect our animals at all times as much as we would like to. Hell I'm the stupid careless owner who dared to keep chocolate in fridge! I know you inevitably feel guilt but its unfounded. Huge hugs again hun xxx

Very sorry about your cat NN :(

Ignore this Poppyrock character... someone obviously trolling and looking for a fight, shame they dont have the decency to start one somewhere more appropriate.

Hugs to you.... if it makes you feel any better you are welcome to steal B?? The little beast just killed MORE slippers

The fact that NN has moved house recently has absolutely NOTHING to do with this, and neither does you claiming to have not been aware of that fact when you made your previous posts, makes them in the slightest bit excusable.

Her spaniel had a tumour and incredibly sadly had to be PTS. NN is completely blameless for that occurring. How on earth can you suggest otherwise?! Your logic is completely backwards. My last dog had cancer - care to tell me how that's my fault?!

The fact that poor Henny is thought to have consumed something poisonous is also in absolutely NO way due to NN's negligence as an owner. Cats go out, they roam, they get into mischief - fact! NN has searched the yard and there is not a single piece of evidence what or where the poison was. There was NOTHING else she could have done to have foreseen and prevented this. To suggest otherwise is cruel, heartless and malicious! I'll tell you now, I don't go out and check my garden multiple times a day as our cat comes and goes - does that make me a bad owner?!

The fact is NN is NOT a new poster. We know the facts on both these very tragic deaths, and on those facts it is ridiculous (and stupid ) to suggest that she did anything in the slightest bit wrong or contributory to these unrelated sad losses. If a new poster came on and posted that they had very sadly lost a dog last year to cancer and that they'd now (today, FFS! have a heart!) lost a cat to a completely unrelated poisoning, why on earth would other posters be as spiteful as you are, in suggesting she is to blame?!

Now, unless you can say something nice, or have the guts to admit your previous username  then just begger off and let this thread be about Henny - how loved she was, how sad the rest of us are that she's gone, and how we are thinking of NN at this sad time. xxx

 And where do you keep your eyes, Cayla?!

Cheeky bint, u know what I meant, I just missed off back :p

And what the heck have I missed:confused: why is some radom apparent new user  accusing NN of killing animals, when one died from a unpreventable illness and one of an un preventable situation, esp if the OP had not been using anti freeze herslef, but at this time of year half of the country will be, so how the feck we going to stop animals getting it, esp cats  my cats could lap some up tonight from some random place, maybe I should go round licking everything to make sure I find it b4 they do

Sleep tight little kitty, and thoughts to u NN :(
