So really bad pics of Abe yesterday on the way to the dog park!
Only had little rubbish camera and he was not interested in posing for me.

Apart from the howling at night and the OCD he is a cracking dog.
Great personality and he has really come out of his shell in the last week.
He has got himself a boyfriend (don't ask about that he is confused about his plumbing) called rosco who is a huge husky that we meet at the dog park everyday!

You can kind of see his brown patches on this one.

And finally one of Abe and my DH, who was not a dog man until we got Abe. He says its because Abe is a "dude dog".

I'm sorry about the flexi lead but i can't for the life of me find long line anywhere so had to order one online and it hasn't come yet.

He needs to run when we are on a walk but isn't 100% on his recall so the flexi lead it is.

He is really gorgeous! If he was on the same continent as me I'd be sneaking over to dognap him in the night...

CC, out of interest, what don't you like about extendable leads?

I see a lot of people (NOT the OP and Abe, who looks totally well behaved) with strong and unruly dogs on them, especially on harnesses, which gives owner control at all and you are basically holding one-handed onto a big lump of plastic if they want to 'go' - other leads you can use two hands and have a bit more leverage.
Also don't like that they can run to the end of the spool with only a little thumb stop for safety, have heard of dogs being hit by cars because the thumb tab stuck or owners weren't paying attention and they ran to the end of the line across a road.

How and ever, I don't mean to hijack, the OP knows how awesome I think Abe is and she is a very competent dog owner
