Warm Winter Jods?

Not jods as such, but primark long jons are a godsend, fit nicely under jods and help keep you toasty. Plus look out for 'granny' style wool tights, also great, I have a rather fetching brown pair (that my gran gave me :-) )and I swear by them :)

S*d the jods right... for winter, I've just been given some walking trousers, waterproof and fleecelined.

OMG. THEE best thing since toasters.

Dublin!!! actually love them! So comfy but dont last that long :/ well they last a couple of years when wearing them every other week ( i have 2 pairs and swap and change) But i suffer from sore knees where my horse stood on one and these are thick so they protect them. worth the money!
Then when it gets really cold i wear rambo waterproof thermal long chaps

Musto Snugs get the vote for me. I've just bought a pair after freezing in my other jods and I now feel all warm and cosy. I've had umpteen pairs over the years and they are worth every penny as I wear them all the time!

Don't bother - put LEGGINGS on under your jods or yard gear. £3 from Primark and they keep you warm. I'm the Queen of Freezing and ride out with leggings under my jods (white under light jods, black under dark, of course!) and i'm ok when i get back after an hour and a half. If it's Face Freezingly Cold, I ride out with skiing gear on!!!!

Ooh, thanks everyone for the suggestions! I will get looking at these straight away.

I also desperately want a pair of the Mountain Horse Avoriaz riding gloves so they are on my wishlist too. :D

ETA: Any advice on sizing for the Musto Snug Jods? Am a size 12 (huge hips but unfortunately no arse, hehe).

Agree with Primark socks, I've got knee high fleecy ones that are brilliant under wellies. And I wear leggings under my jods in the winter too :)

Should I get medium musto snug jods if a size 12? I think I want a pair on my wishlist now... (whether I'll get them or not is another thing, hehe).

Thanks for all your great suggestions, am looking at them all and bookmarking. :)

I know this really wont help, but go to a local tack shop and find ones you like, then get make and find it online. I bought my ex ( kiddies daddy, so xmas pressie from them), a pair of jodhs last xmas. he hunts alot, so they were beige, but seriously soft and fleecy on inside, he reckons they are the best thing since sliced bread. they were €95, but way better than your usual ones. I just stick on a pair of leggings underneath mine, works fine, til you have to get em off, but thats prob just me, need to lose a stone and a half. they mite come off easier when i do!! (Running isn't so bad, i can run 4 miles now without dying, so maybe i'll lose that weight in no time) fingers crosseed!!!!!!!

I couldn't run from here to the door... unless I was being chased... (and even then it depends by who!) :D
