Must admit I can see both sides.. I had a mare on loan, and her owner had some argument with her ex, and decided to move house - and took my darling mare with her without even telling me - heartbreaking! However, I've just loaned my gorgeous huge sheltie out - originally said he wasn't to leave, but after finding the 'right' home for him, he's moved over an hour away to Cheshire, and I couldn't be happier with his 'new' people - so sometimes it IS worth asking the owner - I had him advertised as not to moved - but after visiting them and numerous cvonversations etc it's worked out really well!
