Just passing through...
I have a Discovery. It's been through two MOTs (last was three days ago).
Yesterday went to go out in it. Flat tyre. Garage said there was no hole or nail, it had split along the beading (where tyre fits to wheel). They hadn't seen it before. They checked tyre rating. Tyres NOT rated for 4x4. Sidewalks not strong enough to take weight!
These are big road tyres as opposed to off-road or hybrid type. They were on the car when we bought it a year ago. Tyre pressures were checked weekly and they always needed more air (I thought it was a Disco thing).
This car is a seven seater and is often full. Tows frequently. Does hundreds of miles a week. Just so lucky it went when we weren't in it!
Now sat in garage awaiting four new tyres tomorrow morning.
Hope this makes sense, head not at its best today.
