Was this a mongrel or a breed?

A Glen of Imaal? We have a lovely one that's walked nr my yard. So rare though.
I have always fancied getting one but a number of people have told me they can be a bit scrappy with other dogs. Someone on here( can’t remember who) bred them I think at one point and said something about fighting. Put me off a bit.

The one I see is a delightful chap, he lives with a Rottweiler lol, so has an owner who is pretty on it.

I really like the look of Teckels too but read somewhere that they can be difficult to train
Does anyone know if that's true?
Never had one but the old GK at the farm here had one. Being a game keeper I’d consider him a pretty dog experienced person but this little thing was hilarious.
I’d Often see it flying across fields with him in hot pursuit 😂

Teckels are lovely dogs. A friend of mine has had 3, but…they have all had various back issues including the latest one having to go to Fitzpatrick’s for surgery and a long rehab. Given their high incidence of serious back issues I personally question whether they should even be bred in the first place, but I know that goes for quite a few breeds with inherent problems linked to exaggerated features.
