I was thinking there seem to be less nasty flies as well. I've not had to put fly rugs/masks on mine yet. Last year, and prev few years I'm sure all of that came out in May.
My boys are in during the day and out at night, but my TB has such unusually sensitive skin, every fly bite swells up, so once that starts I know it's time for his fly suits!
My horse is stabled in an aviary! Or it seems like that with a swallows nest and sparrows.Do you think the less flies is down to the swallows or was it too dry earlier for the flies to get a drink.
Not here neither!! I thought i had one today whilst breaking my back doing the ragwort chore but turned out just to be a bigish fly.
Could it be the bad winter we had?
