Today was our RC Christmas show, its always a bit of fun with fancy dress, christmas jumpers and music classes.
We started off with Novice 30, she warmed up really well despite the warm up being quite boggy after all the rain we've had. Started the test nicely until she stomped on a board after a medium trot and almost launched me into orbit. We got ourselves back together with the addition of some tension in her remaining medium trot and medium canter. Some nice comments from the judge and a good score of 67.8% to win.
Change into our Christmas fancy dress for the music class, so maybe this is cheating a little bit but what the hell, just seeing if we like them for future reference
This was a last minute plan so only played with the floor plan this week, we debuted our first public simple change and some other novicey bits and pieces. This time we just had a little 'no you can't canter yet/ head toss' blip in the trot work other than that she was strong and forward which is what we've been working on lately so that was good! We also played around with some lateral work in the warm up which was deemed ok so we'll keep beavering away at home and hope to try a couple of elementaries early in the new year
Any way she was super and loved dancing to her music again for a good score of 76.8% to get another red frilly!
