Is anybody taking these weather warnings seriously? My Mum just text me to check whether I've got the horses in or not and seems worried about it. The horses aren't coming in at night yet but not sure whether it'll be best for then to be in or out. What will you guys be doing if this storm comes tomorrow? I wasn't worried before but just checked the news.

My boys are out what ever happens. It's what they are used to. Also If the wind blows the stables down they would be trapped inside. I feel they are much safer outside. We've had wind here for a week now so think they are used to it now anyway ;)

Just keep watching met check so you can be aware. we use it alot up here and pretty good. last winter warned snow at 11am and 1min past it started. just keep looking and stay safe. personally i would leave out as safer. But to you all in path of poss storm i hope you and horses stay safe but please please respect the wind. it can be so lethal. stay safe x

I think there is more to the coming weather than just media hype.

My horses will be staying out though, I will be worrying about them all night but I think they will be safer out than stuck in.

We keep by a brook which has flooded badly. We have higher ground so ponies will go on it, they have shelters and water here so will be fine. Agree do not want to shut horses in just incase. Will have to wait and see.

Would far rather leave mine out but have one on box rest, with the other having to come in at night to give him some company. We live on the top of a hill and get a lot of wind at the best of times, so am not looking forward to tommorow.

Keep safe all and hope we don't have a sleepless night...

What about at yards where it could be risky for staff employed there to turn out horses that have to be in at night on mornings such as Monday's supposed to be? It's fine if your horses are out 24/7 but for many people I suspect that is not the case when on livery. There's a risk to human also handling horses in such high winds if debris etc.

Mine will be in tomorrow night. If the weather is as bad as it says it's going to be then mine would be likely to go mad in the fields and I don't want to risk them injuring themselves.
