I am looking at the 200g version - what are they like, do they wear well? I would ideally like to get the MT 200g one but at £10 more in my tack shop I can't really afford it

I've got the extra-lite one (110g), and it's still in good condition after 3 years. The only issue I've got with it is that it's only got 1 strap at the front, so has a tendency to pull back on her chest.

I also have the extra light, I think I have had mine about 5 or 6 years, Its great I use it most of the winter as an under rug as well as a Spring / Autumn rug. The single strap at the front is not brilliant, I have sewn a load of Velcro to the front to help keep it closed, My horse has a narrow chestI don't know how well it would fit on a big chest, I think it is just bout ready for the bin now!

I had the 200g Jasper until the rug washing people lost it this year

, but it was a good rug and was in its third winter. The 200g version has two chest straps and a tail flap, very good value for money

I have all three standard neck Jasper rugs (extra lite 110g, 220g lite, and 300g regular). They are all pretty much exactly the same, the extra lite only has one front strap but I've never found that to be a problem. I love my Weatherbeeta stable rugs, I also have the Belmont standard to complete my horse's wardrobe! It took me forever to find the lite version though, as they aren't made any more. Eventually found one in the back room of a random middle-of-nowhere tack shop, in my horse's size! I have seen on Weatherbeeta's site they are now making a 200g version of the Belmont, but no Jasper lites. Mark Todd also don't do a 200g one, they do a 250g. I had one of these for my horse before I got the Weatherbeetas, and it didn't fit at all (depsite the turnouts fitting her really well). The only other one I liked was the Rhino 200g, the outer is a lot tougher but I didn't really need it with my horse so stuck with my Weatherbeetas.

I tried one some time ago but TBH I realised

A/ I didn't like the single strap
B/ She needs gussets to accomodate her big chest and shoulders

The good news is I sold it on EBay for a pound more than I paid for it

I bought a jasper lite last week? Pale blue - about 200g - on't think it was called a 'lite' on the bag but our saddlers had it listed up as one.

I have the extra lite Jasper. Its a really nice rug. When I first bought it it did used to pull back but as my horse started to muscle up it stopped doing that. Now it doesnt move.

Do NOT buy it in lilac. I did and its a pain to keep clean. I shove mine in the washing machine and it comes up like new, apart from the poo stains.
