Weatherbys or SHB?

Really sorry for another registration post guys. but I am unsure of who to register the diddly with...

Sire is registered with Weatherbys NTR and to register the foal with them would mean also registering Tills with the NTR before the foal can also be registered with them.

OR...

I could register the diddly with SHB(UK) on the basic register. I'm unsure as to whether that would mean registering/overstamping Tills so that she was also on their books???

Which do you think I should do? Will the benefits (are there any?) of being with Weatherbys outweigh the cost?!
 
well which stallion did you use? what do you intend to do with the foal, as if your intending to show the foal then ur best off registering with shgb in the long run (imho) personally prob would register with shgb if i were you as i cannot see any benefits and it seems like you would be objected to alot of unnecessary cost

The foal isn't intended to be a worldbeater, and I've not really thought about showing it as yet. Tills is a mongrel, so that counts us out of most evaluations etc anyway doesn't it?
 
well my mare is reg Weatherbys NTR but has no nme reg on her passport they told me i would have to reg her a name,reg her as a broodmare then reg the foal-it was going to cost a small fortune about £200 !!

SHR said i could overstamp my mare with a name then reg the foal,think it cost me me £25
(these did not include foal reg)

If you decide to show your foal in the future at a County Show which is great experience for it, then you will need to be registered SHB GB.

If it were me, I would just register SHB.

Just wanted to know as have various registration/identification forms here which will need filling in by the vet, and seeing as he is coming out soon to do vaccs I thought I'd save myself a call out charge
