I need a second pair for my other saddle and need to know what brand are best? I currently have a WOW pair and do like them, but they are £75 and I am sure I can get better for that money!

Have you looked at the bates ones?

I'm going to watch this thread as I am thinking of getting some of these. I am interested in the sizing too

Probably should have mentioned I am tiny - my dressage ones are only 22 inches long and the new ones will be for my jump saddle. Not sure the bates ones go short enough!

I've had Wow ones but also have some Bates which are just as good. Ideal sell them and I think theirs go very very small! Cos I would need the medium ones in their measurements and I use 28" ones.

I have got the Jeffries T Bar leathers and they are very good. Lovely quality and should last a long time. I have had the Bates ones and found that the under side which was plastic, cracked and split and they soon became very tatty.

By the way DONT buy from Pure Rider I had to send a pair of T Bat leathers back to them, had a job to get them to reply to e mails and now they won't credit my card with the refund. Am in dispute with them through Barclaycard and Paypal.

I would love a pair of the Jeffries ones!

I am cheap and just use the synthetic webbers. I have noticed, though, that some makes have quite thick leather at the t-bar, and they are a real battle to thread through the stirrups... I wonder how the nice leather ones rate on this?

Don't buy the Jeffries dressage/close contact ones. Very poor leather quality. One of mine broke after 6 weeks of using them just in the school... Needless to say I'm glad I decided last minute not to hack that day. What a waste of money and they're refusing to replace them.
I now have a nice Passier ones that whilst not close contact are slim, great quality leather and I can report six weeks on have not snapped!

i have some stbben non stretch leathers and they are fab but really like the t/bar too but probably only for dressage don't know if i'd trust them for jumping

Just looked at the stubben combo leather and fallen in love with the deluxe ones, but then saw the shortest they are made in is 27"!

I have recently bought a pair of Jeffries T Bar leathers and had no problem with them. They are lovely leather and very strong. You were obviously very unlucky, also Jeffries were very good to deal with. They have got to replace your leathers under the Sale of Goods Act, your leathers are clearly not fit for purpose, threaten them with Trading Standards.

Jeffries start at 28" so even worse than stubben! Maybe I'll have to get more wow ones.

How about fss on eBay? I guess the are going to be crap, but they do go short enough so may be an option!
