I hacked out this morning but went early. It was fine, not too hot but the temp is rising rapidly now.
Yup, 15 at 5.30 this morning at the yard, now 35 outside the front of my office. P dog isn't going out for a pee now, she'll really have to get antsy before I cave in and carry her across to the only shady patch for a pee!

My lot are all in at the moment. Have decided to take a risk and turn the 4yo out overnight as he has plenty of grass in his paddock and should stay quiet if he’s busy stuffing his face ??

No pony pics, but here’s one of the dogs having a great time splashing about in their new paddling pool (I might have joined them for a bit ?).

I had a useful lesson this morning. Trainer rescheduled from yesterday (phew) so it was a much more tolerable 20 degrees and cloudy instead of instant-sunburn 35+ o_O

We're definitely Doing Training now instead of just managing horse's behaviour :p today we progressed some of the transition work I'd been doing and some more tackling general straightness. It's taken a good few months to get to this point of being able to really work on some of this stuff but I'm pleased i stuck with it even when questioning my life choices :p The big weirdo has really grown on me.

Hot ponies on Saturday having their al fresco dinner hay
