Me again, I must find something diverting to do on a Thursday afternoon rather than dreaming about the weekend.... :p

What's everyone got planned?

Kira is off to Summerhouse tomorrow for M75 and AM98 (eep)
Some teaching on Saturday, Millie can go hacking
Kira has arena hire again on Sunday to run through the tests for native champs. (can I learn 4 tests to ride them back to back?!)
Then cake baking (dad's birthday on Monday :o) I'm on call so hoping for a quiet couple of days from work

Have fun everyone :)

I have arena hire tomorrow night to run through Sundays test - I don't know what devil thought up BE93 (20X60 on Grass!?) but at least it makes a change from BE92 which i have done at no less than 6/7 events this year!

Work Saturday AM (12 muckouts/ turnouts), then 1 to teach, 1 to clip, Ruby to hack, 1 yard to finish, Lorry to pack, . . . and if that wasn't enough, my other horse is coming home off loan so need to do something with her . . .

Sunday up at zero crack, to go to Bricky about 3hrs away and will probably have a 9am dressage :D

Can't wait to go back to work for a rest! :D

Fieldhouse on Friday with the black beast for AM91, it's a new venue for us so hoping Topaz is feeling brave !

Then volunteering at Kelsall on Sunday, think we're being pole pickers but should be a fun way to spend a Sunday ;).

I am working in the saddlers on Saturday and then our yard is holding a small ODE just for the liveries, nothing huge (jumping is not my thing, it gives me the fear) but I am giving it all a wee go.

God ladies you make my weekends looks so easy in take. Good luck learning all those tests :D

I am taking Princess Tullia to my friend's place tomorrow for a hack. Going show jumping on Saturday (!) and probably hacking on Sunday I think. She's quite a stressy traveller (doesn't move or complain just sweats up something rotten) so planning a few extra runs in the trailer while it's hitched up too.

Meanwhile I'm also hacking the other minions who aren't clever enough or cute enough to be named today lol.

I'm doing the same as I've been doing the last 3 blinking weekends. Groundwork, grooming.... Getting annoying now

Vet booked for Monday to see if we can speed the process up a little!

There is so much going on at the min, clinics, dressage leagues, pleasure rides, hunter trials and I'm stuck not able to saddle my horse because of these annoying slow to improve fly bites. They are actually getting better every day but just not healed enough yet to put a saddle on top of them

Working for arrivals weekend.
Grumble, grumble, undergrads. Hate this time of year!

Shame about the knees PM, have you been told how long you're expected to be out for yet?

A very quiet one for me. Choccy has taken a back seat for the last few weeks, I will clip him at the weekend so he is ready to pick up again. Sadly my other horse will be PTS this week, it's his time and I didn't want to put him through another winter. Next weekend the other two are moving yards. Bitter sweet as I'm so looking forward to the new yard but absolutely heartbroken that this time has finally arrived 💔
Good luck to all those that are competing and training!

Saturday I have booked a half hour sj course in the indoor arena at M.Wood, 2 friends are coming along too to school round.
Sunday, am going XC schooling with a friend, round a course neither of us has been to before.

PM that's a long time out! What damage have you done??

Ooh, I can join in for once! Riding a yard horse at a dressage comp. I've had two lessons on him in the past fortnight, and we're off to see if we can get our medium trot in a competition environment. He can, I apparently looked like a 'distressed jellyfish' on Wednesday night so it could go either way.

Oh no, Snowfilly! I'm sure it'll be fine, remember to come back and let us know how you got on :D

I might have to add clipping into the list of activities for the weekend, vet gave the go ahead to start Millie back in the school today and she looks like a woolly kids pony at the moment

this really is her last life as far as proper work is concerned, if the leg blows up then it's time to pack her off to the retirement home. Fingers crossed...

Well, I am *hopefully, subject to confirmation* going to see a pony on Saturday. One I rather like the look of, too. But who knows...

And anyway, I have Fergus walking out now (mostly because he's getting too fat!), and my lovely ex-polo pony borrow to play with, so lots of hairy-pony hacking and big brown horse hacking, schooling and polocrosse practicing to look forward to :)

Really sorry to hear news but you are being a responsible horse owner, hugs. Good luck with the yard move though and I hope it goes smoothly.

I'm clipping on Saturday. Sunday I'm taking Eddie to dressage. He's been working well at home once we get over the 20mins of stress. Last outing he cleared the warm up with his acrobatics..... Can't get any worse!

Tear in medial collateral ligament in BOTH knees right where they join the knee. Consultant now wants to inject but I would need 2 weeks rest afterwards as increased risk of full rupture. Can't get that amount of time off work atm. Probably end November before I can.

Good luck to all those competing!

PM - that sounds horrendous :( I do know someone who did similar in both knees and had the enriched blood injections (this was in Asia and I'm not entirely sure what the injections were, I guess some sort of platelet-rich blood) and his improvement was incredible. He was walking normally just 6 weeks after the fall... Good luck and I hope you can keep yourself active somehow :(

Sorry to read about your old boy Happydayz - big hugs xx

JFTD - good luck at the horse viewing!!

I have a busy horsey weekend ahead, yay! Two elementaries on Pocholo tomorrow to try and get that final qualification for the GBPRE champs. I thought getting three 60% tests would be simple but we seem to get either 63% or 58%! His way of going really highlights any tension and we're less able to get away with it at this level as the movements come up so quickly, it's hard to get the sharpness off the leg while maintaining relaxation (he's just too opinionated..!).

Sunday a friend and I are doing the Badminton Fun Ride on P and Indio. It's Indio's first outing since February, can't wait!! Hopefully it doesn't blow his brain :D

We are playing dressage on Sunday at my local riding club. Just doing intro b and prelim 7 , neither of which I can remember , eek !! It's only our second time doing the prelim test , first time we got a 67.7 and some lovely comments , "much to like", and "well ridden". Horse was feeling a bit fruity and took exception to a pile of grass cuttings near the judges car . We are riding along as last time , our maiden voyage in trailer, he decided to go over the breech bar , bad lad and terrified mam!!
Good luck to everyone competing , have lots of horsey fun !!

Good luck all out competing! I'm off on holiday early hours of tomorrow, so reluctantly have nothing planned! Am I the only person who actually would maybe prefer to be out competing than off sunning myself somewhere?

Good luck to all competing, trying new ponies and generally having fun. I am mostly sulking, the ginger witch has kicked the new 4yo so she's off games, and the witch has managed to cut her fetlock, plus her saddle is off being altered as she's changed shape again. 2017 is proving to be my pants year, broken ponies and frustrations all round :(

Oh cripes PM, what a nightmare!! Really worth trying work again for time out?
Really feel for you as its the most hectic part on the year (from end Aug to end oct) as I find, hope you are able to manage the pain x

Have I missed something - hope Fergus and Daemon are both ok?

Well my foray into weekend plans has been brief but enjoyable. Apart from hacking and playing around with straightness training it's unlikely I'll be doing anything until next year if he's still fit and sound to continue showing.

I might see if I can borrow transport to go to a showing clinic. Any suggestions on anything West Sussex / Surrey way would be helpful.

Best of luck everyone.

Home from holiday lunch Sunday :) Ronnie Rocket coming back home (with his team GBR stamp proudly on show flashing his national champion status) that afternoon and plenty of chores to sort, before new job starting Monday. Hopefully intructucing Ronnie will go well, being a late cut gelding who went through the inhand circuit he's pretty pushy in the field so I expect he'll just go straight above Cheeri, just have to hope he doesn't really hate him!
