Me again then?

It's thursday afternoon and I'm willing the weekend to approach us faster :D

What's everyone got planned?

Kira has a lesson tomorrow morning. She's a bit hormonal this week so hoping for good behaviour, it's been like wading through treacle with her the last few days ;)

Saturday Millie has a hacking date with the most handsome gelding on the yard, that will be really nice as I usually go by myself. Couple of others to ride in the school.

Sunday Kira off again for a one day camp with BD Wales at Mount Ballan. Lesson with Sally Williams and then test riding Medium 73 (area festival test) in the afternoon. Hoping we can fling in some changes in the lesson because I really feel she needs lots of practice doing them in strange places, hopefully they will get a bit less green :)

Have fun all , factor 50 a-go-go here in sunny Herefordshire!

I'll be helping score on Sunday for Somerford Premier league, but nothing else booked in.

Trying Skylla with a new bit tonight and really should shape myself to get her booked in to some clinics but the sun is making me lazy .

Hope Kira stops being hormonal and Millie woo's her handsome gelding ;).

XC clinic on Sunday, Monday hopefully have a pony club biomechanics rally but depends how soon I can escape from my grandmother as I'm meant to be going out to lunch with family for her birthday :p Counting down the days until my exams are done and I can get out competing again!

Hope Kira stops being hormonal

me too! the trot work is hard going at the moment ... she's aceing the canter stuff but I need to make her do Proper Trotting, lol

and Millie woo's her handsome gelding ;).
That is a GIVEN. She's very good at that. something about superior pheromones I think. :wink3:

Sounds like you have a very busy weekend planned Milliepops!

Usually don't post on these threads but thought I may as well give it a go. :)

I've got a lesson booked in tomorrow with a new instructor. Helped us out a lot in the first lesson I had with him a week ago so I am hoping that we can tailor this one to getting better scores in our online Intro dressage tests. I seem to have a real knack for coming last which I fully intend to change! (This is undoubtedly my fault as I haven't had consistent lessons in the year and a bit I have had my horse.)

Nothing much planned for the rest of the weekend. I'll see if I can persuade my mum to bring her horse out for a walk / hack with me and my boy down the bridlepath for a change. Normally I take him around the village on our hacks as it is closer but there are some rather lovely stretches of grass on this bridlepath where we may be able to stretch out legs a bit. :)

Cirencester funride! Love it, the best fun ride I've been on i think! :-) however i am taking my 5yr old and its his first one, got him fit enough but no idea how he'll be.. ahh.

Awww I really want to go on that but I can't find transport - have fun :)

ETA - I think I shall be mostly melting this weekend! hoping to get the farrier out for Jensen's first set of shoes but he is being infuriatingly uncommunicative, other than that I shall be trying to work out what 435 metres per minute feels like :D

Team Quest dressage with Sam and Brian on Saturday, flat work lesson with Lloyd and Tiger on Sunday and SHOWING with Brian on Monday!! Just going for a bit of fun with some friends, it's a long time since the show tack has had an airing!

Also going to do some groundwork with the newest burger dodger....shhhhhhh! She's still a secret!

ooooh you can't not tell us the details!

Ah forgot it was bank holiday, gawd I wonder what I've commited myself for on Monday...? :o

Sj clinic on Sat, then have enthusiastically (read = bloody stupidly) entered for an eventers challenge on Sunday, it's arena sj with xc: so jump sj and jump out of arena and onto xc course!
Forecast blooming hot, think I will stay in a darkened room on Monday!

TFF, getting more idiotic as she gets older :rolleyes3:

Good luck everyone competing, and enjoy what you are doing if not :)

I have an exciting weekend ahead on Sunday is the dressage league final in riding club and I currently ranked 1st, wish me luck!

Ohh Wimbles, she looks fab :)

My daughter is doing her first 1.10 class on her horse, which happens to coincide with an interview I have so my husband will be taking her. Hopefully I will be able to get there before her round, coz my husband won't really be able to help or offer advice!

Good luck everyone and hope its not too hot for the horses

Good luck everyone competing and doing fun ride :)

I'm supposed to be taking my 5yo and his pony to an SJ comp on Saturday morning, but its weather dependent, as our weather is supposed to break on Sat with thunderstorms...

On Sunday we have a family day out planned to the local country/game fair which I'm really looking forward to :)

My pony is still coughing, he has another 5 days of antibiotics plus ventipulmin/sputulosin/steroids so please everyone keep your fingers crossed that something works, and I'll maybe get a hack out on Sunday morning :) and if hes OK I can start booking lessons..

Had our first organized for last week, but had to cancel it :(

Fiona

I'm going down to Kent on Sunday to watch some polocrosse. Other than that, hacking, schooling, practicing and generally ponying about while trying not to melt.

Fortunate pony, Wimbles!

I've got Bishop Burton BE90 for G's last 90 before stepping up. Super excited just hope it's not too hot. Wimbles that burger dodger looks lovely!

Good luck everyone, have fun!

Off to the Keysoe TREC event this weekend with Bailey, a first for both of us. Lorry is being prepped for 2 nights away and cannot believe the amount of stuff I have accumulating in the sitting room. DP is staying at home as he is still off games until the physio puts him back together.

But you open this post so well MP....
Lots of exciting things going on for everyone - good luck to all competing
Quiet weekend for me, just a bit of finishing off to do on the latest DIY, then I'm thinking of popping out on Sunday for some sj themed arena hire with friends. He hasn't seen a showjump since last autumn so we'll see if he still thinks that they are the work of the devil....someone's got to be the dingbat friend who makes her proper eventer mates feel better right? :D plus I have to provide evidence to them regularly as to why it would be madness to event him despite his strength xc and dressage.

Every eventers challenge I've spectated at has been mental (though looks great fun), so kudos to you TFF!

The diva goes to hospital tomorrow for her overground scope. I feel sick.

Sunday I am taking the hooligan out to a local inhand show to have a bit of fun with him. We made the decision to retire him from ridden work on Tuesday after his back X-rays, but it will be nice to spend a bit of time with him and maybe win our first rosette together.

I am viewing a couple of ponies too. Must be mad!

My rehab horse is off for his first attempt at a novice test tomorrow. It was a year ago today we got back on him and has been a long long journey, so nice to be getting there at last.
Quiet day Sunday then he is off to water treadmill Monday

No competing for me this weekend.

Off to help the woman who takes me out tomorrow, she's doing her first music test and I've been instructed to do big plaits for her so will try my hand. I'm out of practice with a needle and thread so have been doing a plait a night on Dora, poor horse. We'll probably go for a wander tomorrow round the farm, just trying to give her a chilled week as all I feel I've done with her recently is drill her in the school so we've hacked twice and lunged over XC fences this week for fun.

Sunday I may give her a jump as my amazing friend is lending me her jump saddle that isn't in use at the moment. Now I feel I might actually be able to get cracking with her!!

Monday, I haven't planned that far ahead aside from working on the yard I do occasionally.

Some of you have very busy weekends coming up! Hope you all have fun!

Nothing for me sadly as Bowser is broken :( he got a nasty kick on Tuesday afternoon. Had scans & xrays and everything. Just in time for the arrival of my new riding boots which I'm collecting on Saturday lol. Otherwise just a weekend of cold-hosing, trying (and currently failing!) to get him to eat his meals/bute and general coddling. And probably a bath for B at some stage as he's already manky from 2 days of boxrest! Another 3 to go...

A friend is off on holiday for 2 weeks on Monday and she has very kindly offered me her horse to ride whilst she's away, so that will be nice. Swapping my little white gelding for her little white mare!

Hope everyone has a good time, whatever you're up to. Stay safe in the sun, don't forget to wear sunscreen! I don't want to be reading tales on sunburn-woes come Monday :D

Dressage for us on Saturday - my two classes of full of affiliated riders on swanky horses so the bog pony and I are not holding out much hope (!) but we will do our best and try not to melt in the process! Other than that, hacking and shearing our sheep. The former I'm looking forward to, the latter not so much!

Good luck everyone. I am going SJing tomorrow and saddle fitter at night, not sure about Sunday maybe a hack.

Planning to get my field arena set back up today after lambing and ride in the field for the first time which is probably my biggest fear but I've got to do it to get further forward with him.

Yes, looks like it's going to be a hot one. So, if the temperature is not too high, I might actually take one of my boys out this weekend after having a few weeks on the sidelines. It will be our first foray into the world of showing as well. We are going to try our hand at working hunter class on Sunday, mainly for experience of the fences because he's supposed to be arena eventing at the sunshine tour in september and he's a spooky wotsit. So saturday will be bath day for Lenny and Ted will have a gentle hack and a day off on Sunday.

Hope everyone has a happy weekend

I'm off jumping on Sat, hoping not to boil, neither of us are keen in the heat. Entered 2 classes but if it gets too hot I'll pull out of the second.
Other than that not much, just going to start explore the hacking after moving to a new yard last weekend.
Good luck all :)
