Not a great start to the season for all the eventers out there, must have been a hard decision by Tweseldown. I saw someone posting Oasby pics though, so hopefully some of you will get out

I'm doing a simulated xc clinic on Saturday morning, no other plans as yet. A couple of us were thinking about doing the arena eventing clear round at Pyecombe on Sunday but it's darned expensive so might just hack out instead, time and weather allowing.

Hope everyone has a fab weekend!

Oasby pics looked mega!

I'm at the Dovecote for a straightness thingy with Gerd Heuschmann, AM and Charles dK on Saturday. If the weather's nice on Sunday, I'll be trying to get some nice photos of Daemon doing what Daemons do best - charging around the byway in his new renegades, jumping ditches and anything I can find ;)

Another quiet weekend for us as the new jump saddle is yet to put in an appearance. I'm not happy.

Probably just hacking Saturday and Sunday (again). I'm a bit bored of riding at the moment, we're meant to be eventing this season but I just can't see it happening :(.

Sounds interesting JFTD, I hope we get a full report.

What's happened to your jump saddle DF? Sounds like there's a bit of a saga going on with it.

Did I see Oasby was canx after all?

XC schooling plans have been ruined by the weather so off to do a couple of dressage tests on Saturday and then probably just hack round the block on Sunday as the OH is over and I think he'd be a bit peeved if I dumped him two days in a row :p

Sorry to hijack , as I'm not an eventer. But I'm so excited and had to tell someone, I'm going to ride my homebred for the first time. She's just backed and hacking out. I'm hoping she will make a nice eventer though !

All your plans sounds very exciting and I hope to get there one day

Taking 2 out for dressage tomorrow and then probably just hacking on sunday. Had a migraine the past 2 days so hoping it goes for tomorrow :-(

Kira has dressage tomorrow, trying out the new surface at Cricklands - all 3 of us hated the old surface so hoping for a better ride this time than usual for that venue :p For some reason I used to have a lovely warm up and then both horses would go dead in the big arena.

Think the hunt are meeting down the road so Millie will exercise herself in the stable while I'm not there to supervise, if she can hear them...

Sunday will be jumping practice for K if she's not pooped and Millie will go in the school as we have a lesson next week :)

Good luck everyone!

Sorry sorry more dressage from me, and to add insult its inside so the weather cannot stop play :D ;). Aintree Dressage Festival on Saturday and if (you never know ;)) we make top 8 we will go through to the championship on Sunday! I'm hoping it will be more champ atmosphere practise for us as Aintree's indoor is a tad scary, but she was super last few times out so hoping we can keep building on her confidence :).

A very quiet one for us as baby pony has been busy lately, had his first run at Aston on tue so this weekend and probably next will be spent chilling out hacking maybe a forest trip if i can convice anyone to meet me there!! :)

due to Tweseldown BE cancellation :-( I am no longer stewarding Saturday, but managed to book a place on my riding club grid jump clinic tomorrow, then hacking and a bit of schooling on Sunday in prep for combined training following weekend !

Was meant to be having a dressage lesson tomorrow morning, instructor poorly so that's been cancelled. Meant to be playing my first competitive game of horseball on my new horse on Sunday and that's been cancelled. Have a face like a smacked bum!

Trying to find something to do over the weekend but entries all needed to be in earlier in the week. Might just go off hunting on Sunday to cheer myself up unless anyone knows of anything going on in the Derbyshire area?!?

Hey, this is for ALL C&T posters, not just eventers, there's no hijacking at all. Very exciting for you, hope it goes well.

Everyone sounds really busy - good luck to all competitors and have fun everyone else!

Are you near Speetley? They have arena eventing on Sunday - can enter on day too.

I am grooming for a friend at Oasby on Sunday afternoon and spending rest of weekend fine tuning myself and horsey for Stafford next weekend :)

Well everyone else's plans sound nice and exciting! :). Reports from all of you please ;).

What's happened to your jump saddle DF? Sounds like there's a bit of a saga going on with it.

Not really a saga, I'm just getting frustrated at poor communication from the company making it. I had an email on Tuesday 1st March to say the saddle would be sent out that Friday or the following Monday and replied asking for BACS details so I can pay for it. Monday came and went with no reply so I phoned the factory to be told they didn't know and were really busy. Emailed the person that has dealt with me through all of it to be told she doesn't know what's happening but would get back to me within 24 hours. A week later and still nothing :(.

I'm going out on sunday (as long as the truck is back from the garage) with two horses. my lovely grey who i have decided not to sell and have got my mojo back with him, so we are heading out to a hunter trial. I've not jumped him for 20months until last week due to being in a car accident, so I am quite excited.

my other horse is a lanky ginger dude - he is 7yo but is always broken so whilst he is sound he is also going for a pootle round. if I can find a rider for him, we'll both be doing the novice (2'6) pairs class, if not, i'll try him in the nursery novice (2').

also hacking out tomorrow with the gang, including my loaned superstar Classy, fitness work up the forest is in the cards :D

its all go.

have a great weekend everyone

Woop! Glad you've decided to keep him :D

I'm off to a show jumping lesson tonight.
Tomorrow, horsebox shopping (again) definitely after a 3.5 now but the ones I like keep being sold before I get there. If anyone knows of anything decent and reliable in the North East, please let me know.

First ever BE for me. Doing an 80. Always wanted to do one before I'm 50, so scraping in at 47 on the biggest horse doing the smallest course!

I have dressage tomorrow, and have a lesson on Sunday with the List 1 Judge who will be judging my test tomorrow so really looking forward to that!

Update from me , my first hack on my 4 yo was amazing ! She was lightly backed last year, and restarted 2 weeks ago. I am absolutely over the moon, she was so relaxed and happy. Fortunately nothing like her brother. She coped very well with a car coming down a bridle path very fast, and one of the other horses spooking. I can't believe it, I've finally got the horse I'd hoped for ( a replica of her mum) she's staying at the yard for another 2 weeks, and then coming home. My plan is to get her to camp in September . Can't wait.

Hope everyone is is having a great weekend

I got to go eventing 😄!

36.5 dressage in a harshly marked section which left us in the top half. 1 down SJ and then a slow clear XC 😊.
