Who's got plans this weekend?

On Sunday I'm off out doing ritual humiliation, or dressage as it's better known :D (P12 and N28).

Tomorrow I've got a lesson it's usually a jump one but I might opt for flat to run through my tests which will leave me free to hack on Saturday before the saddle fitter comes to reflock my dressage saddle.

Wet and rainy dressage lesson for Mr Fergus with Rui on Sunday.

Was going to take Dae for a change / laugh, but if I leave him a couple of weeks, I can take his shiny new bridle which is being made right now :D

Oh exciting, I'm off eventing on Sunday at Aston Le Walls- my youngsters first event so just popping round the BE80. So excited, but looking at the rain out of my window and I'm wondering how likely it is to be on!

Jealous of all your plans!!

I'm hoping to actually ride in the arena on Saturday, if it ever stops raining. Currently it's too sloppy to ride im!!
Also hoping to persuade mum to go for a nice walk with the dogs in local forest park on Sunday, where I shall accompany her on Billy :D
But other than that what I'm really looking forward to is our dressage lesson next Tuesday, I haven't had one in a year!!

Good luck all competing :)

I am desperately hoping my bad back doesn't make a reappearance. Upset it 2weeks ago jumping stupidly big jumps in lesson (1m20 and horse was absolutely flying!) and have had to rest it and have a load of physio. Been ok doing flatwork this week but have entered the Novice combined training (1st jumping comp straight in at 1m10 - eeeeeek!) at Munstead this Sunday. Have also got dressage lesson tomorrow, hack Saturday and first event of the year BE100 at Tweseldown on Thursday. Please be ok back!

Sounds good JB.

My plans revolve around how catching up with one the girls on the yard to hatch a plan for the thug goes - had a confidence wobble with him.

Also so nice to see eventing related posts again, means Spring is on the way :biggrin3:

^^this !

Millie is out at a show today, first one since she came back into work. She's been a bit odd all week so not sure how it will go but it will be nice to be out and about with her again.
Quiet weekend after that, Kira needs to do some jumping so hoping the weather is kind :)

Quiet weekend for me too, Skylla will hopefully make it out for a hack along with Doodle. Hopefully we will also take Doodle and Topaz out somewhere for a nice hack, thinking maybe Somerfords farm ride :).

Will have to see what the weather does though, it's a bit bleak at the moment where we are!

Quiet one for me too. We both finally seem to have recovered from our respective viruses so a nice hack out tmrw with friends coming over, and hopefully riding on Sunday although social life getting in the way again (mothers day and a combined birthday party so I really should not be churlish but I've not ridden the last 3 weekends for,one reason or another!).

Hoping Fs fitness hasn't been too impacted by his week off as still planning on taking him to Halton next weekend, but he was in regular work before then and has been turned out thought, and had light hacks this week. I'll take it slow anyway and see how he goes.

ETA also going to test out his new glue on shoes which went on yesterday !

Working my yard as normal

Mare still lame from lst weeks fall on the road and I am still in a lot of pain from hitting the concrete ( yet again ) and broken ribs from a month ago. I need to be put down I think.

I am as we speak multitasking -dying of a lurgy and waiting on delivery of my new saddle.

I've been waiting all day, no tracking number and getting a bit despondent now as wanted to ride Daisy out in it. The way things are going I will end up having to ride her out in her bareback pad before its dark then he will come while I am out and take my saddle back to Edinburgh despite notes on the door asking to leave in the shed :(

Did I mention I am also dying :(

I took Peaches SJ last night despite being unable to breathe and nearly killed myself. Was planning to go unaff SJ with both girls tomorrow but I am so ill :(

Peaches was however utterly amazing last night so that was good :)

Quiet one this weekend as have to do "family" stuff so will attempt a hack on the yob and see if we can recreate the good behaviour we had last week. It'll do him good not to do anything serious as I find it useful to give him reflection time and he's done quite a few clinics recently - need to start getting him out to the odd show now.

Would love to hear how you got on with P12 - I have this test next weekend!

Tomorrow I am off to the gallops with a few friends, my horse is back in work a week (following 2 weeks off) so should be interesting when I open her up :D

Then on Sunday I will probably give her a pop as it's been a while since we've jumped!

Hacking tomorrow and I have a weekly slot booked at a yard down the road from me that does arena hire for Sunday morning. Very excited as it's flatwork only all throughout winter but all the show jumps are going up tomorrow! Should be fun :)

Not cool :( I was dying yesterday too. Has the saddle come?!

I managed to get out for a quick hack in the sunshine this afternoon but crazy busy at home so no fun stuff really. F will have tomorrow off so I may have to play with Dae instead :D

Got a few things to do at the field starting to get ready for road planings coming later in the month. It's the last hunt day here so will be getting the work horses ready tomorrow for that. Got one with an abscess that is been a ****** to shift so more poultice changes and walking the dogs. Will have a cuppa with my friend and on Sunday will be taking my cob for a walk in hand, hoping to take her round d the roads by some of the fields with the tractors ploughing!

I will be putting down my new flooring - try not to get too jealous guys. I may be single by Sunday

Good luck! We've had people in the last couple of days doing all our floors (literally every room in the house except the entrance hallway). It's been chaos!

I was supposed to be XC schooling at Ely tomorrow and drag hunting at Burghley on Sunday but weather looks set to ruin both of those plans!

I'm also waiting for a new saddle, looks like it won't be here until Tues/Weds next week now :(. I hope yours arrived!

Prob be a short (10 mile) walk hack Saturday and a longer (17 mile), faster, hack Sunday for me. I really need to get horse to the beach for a good blast but I suspect I'd be dumped very quickly in the dressage saddle :p.

Out hacking yesterday, lunch with the grandparents and our for drinks with my work crew :) today, more hacking and uni work :) tomorrow taking both ponies out schooling to try and keep things going with lola a little :) then off to see my grandparents with my mum for mothers day :)

Yes thank you it did. However I now need to go and buy a breast plate so no SJ today. Which is probably a good thing as I am still dying quite a lot.

Glad to see you got your floors done!!

We got the legs done in preparation for going somewhere this week at long last :D

Nothing fancy. Just working with the horse and try to work on my confidence issues.

Good luck to everyone competing. :)

That saddle is beautiful!!!

We had a slight change of plan and Skylla went out for her first solo hack this morning. She was a bit unsure and bouncy but coped very well, clever baby pony :D.

Very nice saddle!

I schooled today - in sleet & rain, which is quite an achievement for a fair weathered rider like me :D - and hopefully will go for a hack tomorrow, but not sure I'll have time with Mothers Day and things.

Good luck & have fun everyone with your weekend plans :)

Mr Fergus was a mega dude in his lesson. Working on lots of fun stuff, including some beastly AM simple changes / centre line / 10 m figure of 8 thingy moves :p

Lots of photos, as usual, on his page :)

Cassie was an absolute star today! She hasn't jumped in a few months but she flew everything easily :) She was rather keen though

(Mind my hands, i wasn't ready for such a big leap! :p)

Can't wait to really crack on with jumping over summer :)
