I can't see the usual weekend plans post so in the absence of it, here is one. I am a little enthusiastic to say the least and have the right to be! After 7.5 months of rehabbing my horse from a slight suspensory branch injury I am off jumping tomorrow to Weston Lawns. Only planning on doing the 2ft 3 clear round and a very slow 2ft 6 class if I feel he is happy.

I am worried about loading as he has started playing up again, my fault for leaving the stupid top door open which slammed. :(

Good luck to all those competing tomorrow and those that are not have a nice day doing whatever with your horses :)

Off to have a bash at a My Quest comp, though slightly surprised to see most of the classes only consist of between 1 and 3 people! I thought it would be really busy. It's our first BD, though I appreciate it's not "proper" BD.

Positive thinking Applecart - you'll be ok - enjoy it!

I've got Riding Club jumping qualifier on Sunday which I'm excited about!!

But first I've got 180 hay bales to go collect and stack :'(

Good luck to all out at parties :)
Hacking on my own tonight then some more schooling on saturday - flatwork only after jumping grids in a dressage saddle last night.
Sunday probably giving owner a lesson and watching F1 GP :)
Next week is focus on SJ training as we have out first comp in 2 weeks (she does have a jump saddle).

Pony-preening on Saturday and then Regionals on Sunday :)
Slightly down in the dumps as Millie was supposed to be doing her regionals tomorrow but is still firmly on the injury couch, but Kira super cob is feeling pretty good so hoping to have a fun day on Sunday anyway.

Good luck all :)

No plans for me again - was thinking about getting in a late entry for Pachesham ODE tomorrow, but I really need to work as got a busy week coming up next week with 2 days planned visiting Hickstead. Had a fantastic XC schooling session last night though :)

MP good luck at the Regionals, what's Millie done to herself? :(
PM jumpies in a dr saddle? OUCH!
Mrsh rather you than me with the hay, good luck at SJ
Good luck also to CC and AC14 :)

Oh, she's been off for about 3 months - torn flexor tendon attachments in a hind leg farting around in the field, and tenosynovitis. Had surgery about 8 weeks ago so trot up booked next week to hopefully start walk exercise AGAIN, 4th time lucky... no more legs to insure so she's used the last of her lives up :( :( Just when it was starting to feel REALLY exciting. It's handy having a spare, I'm never having only one horse ever again, lol

Good luck at regionals MP, Sad to hear about Millie, hope she can make another incredible come back! Will look forward to Kira's report, you done so amazing with her, shes just flying up the levels!

Another fairly quiet weekend here - Ruby is getting on fantastically at boot camp, have had lots of messages from girls on the yard about how lovely she is - Mark's been very complimentary about her attitude and training this far so i'm very happy! Going up on Saturday to watch Mark ride, then have a lesson Sunday and Monday afternoon before she comes home - looking forward to it as i've missed her tonnes!

Good luck to all competing :) was on holibobs last week (went the day after the Area RC ODE where Mike managed an improved 40 DR, 4faults SJ and clear XC with some frustrating TPs), so uhmming and ahhing over whether to go anywhere this weekend. We need more SJ practice as we have RC regional SJ finals next month but mum didn't manage to work him while I was away so he's had nearly 2 weeks off.

Good luck to those competing.

I have a weekend of training. Flatwork with my instructor on Saturday. Try BE on Sunday, getting anxious as still don't have the times, I know there is an issue with the BE website but I could do with making arrangements otherwise I might be on my own and no response to texts.

Heading down to our county show, not as a competitor, just spectating and doing a stall with work :) I hope to get out for a hack after the show and hopefully on Sunday too! I haven't ridden in over a week as had a few other commitments so I am hoping to get a shot this weekend! So far it looks promising!

Off to Sparsholt for a go at AM98 which is the area festival test this year and needs practice. Then another outing for the tailcoat to do A102 again. We're in the office arena which he isn't a big fan of so could be fun!

That should say AM91 lol.

Had a great lesson today. In the field as the arena was double booked but recently he has been easier to ride in the field than in the arena so i didn't mind. Instructor said I was way more relaxed in the field and we did some canter work too just trying to get him to open up more. In the arena he shortens everything and it's a rocking horse canter almost on the spot we barely move. Bit better in the field will have to keep working on it. :)

I had a fabulous time this morning taking my little 'sports cob' show-jumping for the first time at Summerhouse (Gloucester) - only 2 tiny tiny clear round attempts as he hadn't jumped much at all before I took him on in May. He was absolutely perfect, didn't bat an eyelid at anything and was a total star :) :) I am SO lucky - we are going XC schooling at Sapey tomorrow, I can't wait :)

Got a new personal worst of 59.1% in AM91 and a new personal best of 64.265% in Advanced 102 at Sparsholt today. Monty took a dislike to a banner at the end of the arena and before the bell went we managed to reverse, rear and spin our way two thirds of the way down the arena. We weren't meant to be in the arena at all, just crossing it top and bottom! Thank god judge didn't eliminate us but not the most auspicious start! Luckily whole new judge for the Advanced and he'd decided by then the banner wasn't so bad. Got loads of 7's and even an 8 plus a 7 for my riding which I'm well chuffed with at Advanced!

Hahaha highs and lows then star!
AA why are your lot coughing?
T2 do the minkhounds do much jumping?
Have fun tomorrow Lev!
Rach sounds a good lesson :)

The mink hounds are followed on foot, it is based around water ways /lakes, very sociable once you are accepted and to be fair they were a nice bunch yesterday even though it was our first time out with them.
Didn't find anything but was lovely to see the dogs work.
Took my lurcher along, the only bad side to the afternoon was the deer flies as I had my own swarm and they are a type of horse fly so they bite.

It was a great lesson Jenn thanks :) in 3 lessons the instructor has gone from telling me my horse is too much for me and I should sell him to the horse is perfect for me. But i have been told to not let anyone else ride him not even the instructor. He is a sensitive horse and easily sharpened because of it which other riders could do to him. Trouble with that is in a weeks time my mum's friends niece is coming up to ride him. :S

Feel sorry for you twiggy about those flies they target me too. And the bites hurt more than you think they would. Sounds like a good day otherwise.

Well done star at the dressage. I hope to get my horse to that level at sometime. It's great hearing how well others on here do at high levels it makes you want to try to achieve that as well.

Thanks. Am sill not quite sure how we got here. Only a year ago we did summer Regionals at Elementary and now suddenly we're planning our first PSG. Very lucky to have this horse even if he is a total doughnut sometimes!

Nice! I feel like we aren't making much progress but the poor boy is hampered by me. We are really i am relearning to sit properly and get him and I fitter. He has the ability it will just take us a while to get there but I think we could.

I never ever thought we'd get here. Just keep plugging on. I think anything's possible now!

No idea, can only assume one of them has brought back germs from a show. No one is poorly but there is the odd cough. Nothing planned until next Sunday so I am hoping nothing more evolves. Alice started it, she will do anything to avoid work.

Well, we survived Novice silver at Mount Ballan and didn't disgrace ourselves, though it was a very frustrating day! Decided on 2 warm ups since there was no warm up class, and she felt ace despite being wiped out several times by enormous black horses in the wrong warm up arena.... we were first to go after the lunch break so I presented myself on time ready to go... but the judges were almost 10 minutes late returning so poor old Kira was a bit off the boil to say the least.
Carried her round for 66.7% and 18th out of 43. Pleased with how she has grown up since Winters, but a bit miffed at the lack of organisation :blue: as it just felt like she couldn't show off her best work. Hey ho... onwards and upwards, elementary here we come :p
No photos as I was on my tod, sorry :D

68.24% AM92 and 65.78% PSG at Beaver Hall on Saturday :)
