Thought I'd one beat Milliepops to it :devilish:;) and two it's less than a week to the AF finals :eek::eek:.

Out BD'ing on Sunday, two mediums to polish ourselves up ready for Hartpury the week after!

Anybody else whiling away the week waiting for the weekend to start?

yes, me! lol :D

It's Kira's birthday today :o
So she is off to a BD party tomorrow, M61 and M73.

Weirdly, got nothing planned for the actual weekend, I think it's the only unbooked weekend until mid June! I'm on call so hoping for a quiet one.

Had a fab solo hack this morning & managed to get NF leg yielding nicely :)
Sat will be early hack with friends, Sunday am going round Woolgars with a friend and her mum, am thinking of taking a half year pass as am there again on Easter Sat (tho thats with RC).
Hoping the lovely weather holds up :)

Happy birthday Kira  and snap with the tests !

All sounds good FF, I'm hoping the weather holds too :).

I should have entered the show on Saturday really :o but bit bored of M69 and 75, which is what was running on that day plus 73 is the AF test this year isn't it? May as well get some practice in! Might put Millie on the box and go hacking somewhere else on Sat so I don't feel so frustrated about the yard being taken over by clinics :p

Have fun TFF, sound like a good w/e

Yes M73 is the AF test, although not for the final which is odd! I figured we need to reinforce changes only need to happen when asked :D.

Despite barely being able to move and feeling like I've been hit by a truck I am getting back on that god damn ridiculous horse!!

Booked in for ROR Team Quest on Sunday with Dangerous Brian (he's got some making up to do with me!) and someone on the team is borrowing one of my other ex racers who she's never sat on before.

Looking for an arena to hire on Saturday to try and regain a bit of confidence.

Also booked in for dressage on Monday evening with my horseball horse and Brian again.

I will not be beaten!!!!!

First solo ride on my new young horse, I've been having lessons so far but this Saturday we get set free on our own :) Well within the confines of the arena and people will be about just in case.

Sadly this weekend won't be all too exciting for Chills and I with me working Friday morning and both Sat and Sun. But there's no other way to pay for our dancing parties (what dad calls dressage comps)! So hopefully we will get some good schooling in after my shifts, ready for our first affiliated comp on the 22nd!

Daughter has camp next week so we will be schooling both ponies all weekend trying to decide which one is the most suitable for her to take eep. One is a bit lazy unless he gets over excited then he might decide to buck her off and the other is permanently super charged but I think it would do him the most good to go. Just want her to have a good experience and me not to have to buy too many air jacket cartridges.

Sunday we are going to an official course walk at the first BE80 I will have properly looked at and am aiming to perhaps go to the second event there later this year with my horse to do the wobbleberry challenge. Said horse is still resting up at the moment tho!

Nothing exciting happening horse wise really, I'm on placement Saturday, then on Sunday hosting a party for my birthday so will be busy organising that

However, did have a fab PC SJ training today, got out to a new place with lots of scary fillers and things to look at! Once we'd established that all the various soft toys, pool noodles, flowers and tinsel adorning the wings wasn't going to bite, H jumped brilliantly and he's feeling so much more keen and forwards compared to just a few months ago, he definitely has a lot more scope than you might have thought when I got him! I did make a (disappointingly undramatic) unplanned dismount when we had a silly stop at the first set of fillers, but landed on my feet and mostly just found it funny, hopefully at some point it will sink in that I need to keep my leg on at all times! Also got to have a sneaky look at Robert Whittaker schooling some of his youngsters! We accidentally ended up sharing the school with them, since the venue double booked  Definitely a few that I would love to have taken home :D

I am probably going to head out to my first show of the season with the wee coloured job on Sunday. Just an in-hand class or two.

Friday I will be watching the racing, Saturday I will hopefully be done bathing so I can settle down and watch the National properly!

Oh fab everyone sounds fun.

MP and AH and those doing their comps this weekend, have an awesome time.
Wimbles - good on you, the best way to overcome those fears is to face them.
EKW showing, cool, lots of cleaning but am sure pony will look lovely, good luck.

I'm always struggling with wanting to ride but having other non horsey commitments too. And never have enough time for both. Getting the lorry ready tonight, and sharer is riding, quick whizz round for a course walk tmrw then visiting friends for the day, then a 70 hunter trial on Sunday. First xc comp of the year and a new venue so will see how we go and use it to get experience on what we need to work on in our training.

Ferdi is off to his first aqua treadmill tomorrow.
Hope has physio tonight so will probably have a quiet weekend. Desperate to ride as brand new saddle arrived last night!

Stressaging for the first time since winter regionals in Sunday and attempting our first non music tests since last may (unless you count a disastrous attempt in Jan where we didn't finish because I forgot the test for the first time ever! ). Lesson in preparation on Sat. :)

Just checked my times and I have to get up early :eek3:!!!! Half ten! Pfft not had to be up that early since novice days , Topaz will not be happy .

Working hunter competition on Sunday. Last chance to ride around the heights we've qualified for at NIF in Cavan. Two weeks to go to the festival and I am starting to properly brick it... Hoping we can put what we learnt into practise from a fab lesson last Tuesday and navigate clear round at least one class this weekend and give us a confidence boost... (by us I mean me, because the only problem he has is dealing with me flapping!)

Relatively quiet one, lesson first thing tomorrow then something relaxing TBD on Sunday :) I've been grumbling about my saddle for months - it's not quite right on her, and it's a bit on the small side for me (if I ride at my preferred length I'm off the front and out the back :o and we have yet another fitter coming out next week to try and get one that fits. So far we've tried: K&M, Albion, Amerigo, Henri de Rivel and we're in a Prestige at the mo, it's getting a little frustrating!

haha! Whereas I have a very civilised day today, not on til 3pm so got time to catch up on work this morning ;)

I am eagerly awaiting some new matchy so will be schooling and whoring pictures of said matchy pony out at some point.

Yard owner tells me she has something planned for me tomorrow and I need brave pants, a new body protector, and my pony for it - We're either going XC schooling on or off site by the sounds of things. Papping it!

Saturday night I have a dinner dance so sunday she can have a day off... because I will need one to recover ;)

We are hopefully heading to our first competition next weekend - just the riding clubs showing show but will be nice to get out :)

Tomorrow I will be accompanying friends horse on her monthly swimming lesson as friend has gone on holiday. Sunday I am hoping to box DP alone for the first time and take him for a short trip, unload, ride and repeat to come home. He is a seasoned traveller but not on his own so I shall be very stressed. First time driving a fully loaded box for me so brave pants will be firmly on. I will also be trying to contain my excitement as new pony arrives Monday afternoon. Haven't told DP he is no longer an only pony and he has to share me.

I was meant to be having a lesson on one of my horses on saturday and then a lesson on my other horse on sunday

BUT I managed to tear the meniscus in my kneecap last night so unfortunately I have had to cancel my lessons as I'm on crutches and all strapped up :(

So I might see if there's a show on anywhere to go and watch if the weather is nice, If not I think it will be a weekend in front of the tv haha

After being out to clinics and lessons for the last few weekends, we've nothing booked in this weekend which is just as well because Hazel showed up intermittently lame yesterday on the lunge on the right rein, she's never once been lame in the time I've had her. Thankfully it was during a physio visit who thinks she's possibly just tight in her shoulders/back from her working harder over the last few weeks, so we'll see tomorrow if she's any better. We're meant to be going to our RC camp next weekend so I'm desperately hoping she's sound tomorrow, she'll be getting bubbled wrapped between now and then!

Good luck to everyone out competing!

Jumping lesson today. Looking forward to it as he behaves better when jumping recently. He doesn't spook as he has to concentrate and he loves jumping anyway. :)

Jumping lesson went really well. We are now at the dizzying heights of 50cm jumps and are even cantering over them in complete control. Its kind of embarrassing that's actually progress for us but it is and I'm proud we are improving. :)
