Weekend plans?!

Some very positive sounding outings :) well done all

I clipped M. Whilst I am pretty sure he's been clipped before I thought I would get the clippers out last weekend and see his reaction. He was OK but I could see he was a little worried and as I am always on my own I needed him to be not worried at all So been desensitising all week and it's paid off. Wee 4 yr old superstar stood loose in the stable with a haynet munching away and he nearly fell asleep whilst I trimmed under his face. All velvety now :D

I love it when they're just clipped :) Did two of mine yesterday so they would be smart for hunt ride...

It was very muddy so they weren't so smart by the end though lol..

We all went even 6yo on his pony and had a ball. Jumped loads and my baby connie was fab :)

Well done Snowfilly, that sounds like a great result after such a long time away from competing, and on a new horse to you! Sounds like successful weekends for you too Wheels and Fiona.

Well done jiffy, great result especially in the conditions! Fingers crossed for tomorrow :D

Pocholo felt great in the warm-up but dropped behind my leg in the test - he's a bit too clever for his own good and remembers tests better than I do, so he has a tendency to want to do it on his own with minimal input from me! It was quite sweet and accurate but divided the judges - 59%, 62.5% and 66%...with an average of 62.6% and near the bottom of the class. We got some lovely photos though!

they are cracking photos. Shame about the meanie judge but well done all the same :) I share your pain on the freestyling horse :o

Time to blow a big raspberry at storm Brian!

I held a lot of wound up horses and only got stood on my one of them :p, out of practice clearly.... which was a reminder of another advantage of the ones not having shoes, it really doesn't hurt as much, or produce a nice shoe-shaped bruise :p

Some very successful weekends and fabulous photos! Well done all. Not sure I would have been brave enough to set off in the lorry to a competition, even though the weather wasn't nearly as bad as the forecasts suggested (well, around our way anyhow), so good on you all!

I had a good weekend with the baby cob. On Sat I rode in all that wind and we went over our first water tray. She literally didn't notice it was there :)

On Sunday we went to a Bobby Hayler clinic. Really enjoyed it and got our first glimmerings of work on the bit
