Tamba had his 66k debut which I thought was 64k, and actually rode as 69k! Thankfully the weather was much better today leaving it until we were nearly home before soaking us. The rather lovely pony was happy to prove that New Forests can do the endurance job happily at this level by cruising round leading an Arab and finishing on his lowest ever heart rate of 40!! Thrilled to bits with him and have promised him a jumping outing next!

Well that's pretty nifty! I'm always amazed by the energy and stamina that the natives have (particularly since they seem to exist on approx 23 kcal per day). How big is your NF?
 
well my horsebox failed it's mot (not unusual for me and vehicles!) but not too badly so hopefully it'll be back up and running soon. Meant no jumping for us but went on a nice hack instead.

He is about 13h, so not huge. He was fat when I got him, but does now need both grass and food! I've had to completely change my feeding concentrating on sustainable energy as he needs more than the Arabs do.
