Finnus Maximus and I have a lesson on Sat, but he has a hock the size of a melon, after coming off worst in a fight with a 14hh pony
crazy.gif
So will only go if it has subsided enough.

Then hacking out Ziggy for Twiglet, as she's on holiday.

Sat night have a RC social thing.

Sun - absolutely nothing......bliss

What are you all up to?

Was really looking forward to my lesson with Roland but had to be cancelled boo hoo. Sat I am practising for my first elem show the following weekend then sun I am hacking and taking a friend to Hastingwood.
Hope poor Finn recovers quickly.

Longleat tomorrow - have both Bossanova and Spotted Cat in my section!
Horse free for rest of weekend which will be nice.

Longleat for me tomorrow, but how much of it we do depends on whether or not I am feeling better as had the lesson from hell last night and feel so very ill. Oh well, we'll do the dressage and SJ at least as they are the bits that need practice. Then the weekend will be spent washing everything ready to do it all again at Salperton the week after.

Awww i hope your horse has a speedy recovery xx

I am practice practice practice for my show next sunday
Havnt been to one since last july so its a shock
My ponies really strong in canter so i have got to calm her down for the show lol

Oh and robinsons on saturday because i need some show products for Katie xx

You have nothing to fear from me ATM! Come and park near me then I can take your nice pony home and leave you my one. Oh, I stuck a measuring stick on him the night before last - he is bang on 16.3, just has high withers which you can't see under all the fluff when he is tacked up. What happened to the nice 16.1 I bought? I would like to have a nice compact little horse, mine is too big for me!

Nothing planned for this weekend at all - very boring! If you hold Finn's head I'll give him a big hug and hope the hock goes down soon.
grin.gif

Saturday making the mission to Hickstead just to do two tests - N38 and N30. Archie has never been there before so we shall see if he behaves himself or not
crazy.gif

Im hoping for times no earlier than midday aswell, as it takes us 2 1/2 hrs to get there - times go online this morning, so il have to wait and see.......

All this nice lovely rain softening the ground up and mine still sore from last weekend, when will i listen to myself and not jump on hard ground!! so looks like weekend off for me

Had been planning to BSJA at Felbridge, but just monitoring Bo closely at the moment following an out of character moment when jumping him on tuesday evening. That added to a very slight feeling that he just maybe didn't feel 100% a couple of times when i've ridden him recently and i'm now considering what to do.

Probably just me making something out of nothing but it was this time last year that he started to suffer with his feet on the firmer ground and I certainly don't want to risk losing the whole summer again

I'll muzzle him too

He's quite sociable at the moment as he's out a night and oh so sleepy nice
smile.gif

Hope Finn is up to his lesson over the w/e - even if not, sounds like you have a relaxing w/e lined up. Am going to Swallowfield on Saturday (fingers crossed for good weather - anything apart from wind and torrential rain would be good) and on Sunday am taking daughter and y/o with their mounts to Lowlands. The cooking meal with children for dad (i think it is father's day - have to let him know once in a while he does take priority over the four legged members of the family.)
grin.gif

Saturday I will be bathing ponies, cleaning tack (excersising them twice as they are in for worming
frown.gif
) and heading up to Stratford Hills to walk the course and have a watch.

Then Sunday my two will be doing their first PAVO 5yr old qualifiers at Stratford (well it will be Connors 1st event EVER
crazy.gif
) Got great times though first dressage 11.12 and we are only 1hr away from there so will have time to put stress head (Connor) out for an hour sunday morning!

And then I have the day off Monday so will be having a lie in!
smile.gif

Have fun at the weekend everyone

Hi Rambo, don't want to p*ss on your bonfire but Felbridge was certainly on the firm side last weekend. Doesn't look like there's anything else on in the whole South East either.
frown.gif

I was even contemplating dressage but can't find any dressage shows either!
grin.gif

Sunday will be my last competition before Star goes to her new HHO mummy for a while *wink wink
wink.gif

We have the RC Dressage qualifiers and im doing P13 and the riding test, oh what fun. Havnt got my times yet but im hoping they are not too early as going out the night before lol
tongue.gif
Luckily if we qualify for the champs and the SJ I can borrow her back again hehe
smile.gif

If the farrier comes & sorts out loose shoes & there isn't another monsoon, we'll be off to Weston Lawns for some show jumping. The last couple of times we've been there we should have taken surf boards!

I am going to Longleat to watch on Friday and then Party Party!!

[/ QUOTE ]

Excellent, may see you there then? I have very sociable times in the afternoon, which is nice as it is a bit of a trek for us, but one I've wanted to do since I was a kid and used to force my mum to take me to watch! Typical therefore that pony is throwing a strop and I am ill, but hey ho.

Too much information crammed in one small brain. Hadn't written it in diary, you see.....

Knew there was something though....

I must stick my horse to stop all the guess work on how big he is!
Having pumped him full of propell plus he still seems remarkably the same but he jumped like a stag and he grunted going over the fences which showed he was putting some effort in! Will find out what his dressage is like tomorrow! I have been schooling him by the banger racers and motorway which is very useful for a easily distracted horse! As far as possible will try and park close to you and then will say very loudly how cruel you are and that its disgusting the way you treat your horse to anyone that will listen!!

Hmmm....thanks for the warning ! They do at least keep a good covering of grass there, but it's never been a 'lucky' venue for us so maybe the gods are telling me something
tongue.gif

There is a Southern Counties Show on at Plumpton racecourse on sunday. They have Amateur qualifiers from 90cms thru' 1.20m and a BN. I'm guessing that will be on grass too though
