Unfortunately on Sunday I had a message from my YO that my ex partners oldest wasn't looking great. He went straight down and rang the vet. Sadly she had gone rapidly downhill and we lost her yesterday. He had had her for 23 years, she was his first horse and has been the matriarch of the herd until we moved her to a paddock after she tweaked herself just over a month ago.
I will miss her terribly, she has been a huge part of the last 17 years of my life.
I'm glad to have been part of her life, and there until the end.

Me neither. Such long checks on a drag hunt trail set by a runner, too. I used to freeze 🥶🥶🥶

Showjumping clinic somewhere I haven’t been before on Saturday! I asked if I could get there early to have a lunge (we are at the frustrating stage of having got planning for an arena at home but it not being built yet, so it’s hard to work him enough) but I am only allowing to lunge as part of the lesson, so it might be a very expensive lungeing/flying a horse-shaped kite session...
