I however am NOT. Got us eliminated in the SJ for jumping the wrong fence ??❤️ I wasn’t the only one that did that!!!

It’s going to be a long time before he forgives me for this one and blotting his record AGAIN! Long drive home but worth it for that XC. Thank god the XC was first!

Blooming lovely photo Michen ?
Can I call you a plank for the sat nav error tho? ? ?
Was it not a flowing track? How was the rest of it?
Well done with the big xc x

You absolutely can! My only defence is the turn I took was the “natural” turn, the correct turn was the same way but a much harsher one. So I am a plonker as I walked it and thought about it ???

But we had a really nice round until then and wouldn’t have been in the placings anyway, the open section had people in it who had won the 2*!! We were way out of everyone’s league in the dressage and the atmosphere was huge, he tried his heart out to keep a lid on it but we were well down the bottom. Though we did creep up post Xc a bit.

Well, despite the sj, you tackled a far more meaty event, didn't disgrace yourselves (ok, Boggle didnt!) and walk away with a load more experience, I call that a good trip out from the horses point of education ??

Oh for sure. The track was the hardest thing Bog and I have ever done by a mile. I seem to go through periods of being a dopey idiot ? Not sure where next- visa delayed so have another weekend where moreton morell is on. Could go again at 100 or just finish on a chilled 90.

Thank you humble pie it was a big sense of achievement and full of praise for my pony but I do remind people she is the one who created her disabled rider!

Jonelle Price did an entire test with horse having boots on today - sounds like you're in good company!

Hacking yesterday then in the school today and tomorrow. We had a teeny canter yesterday because we got to the canter spot on our regular ride and there was no telling him otherwise ?

He’s not getting tired with whatever we do, which is pleasing. I think some muscle is coming back but it may be rose-tinted glasses ?

Slightly unbelievably it was a win (!!!) for Isaac today in the BE90 at Frickley. I've not won a BE class since I started in 2003, so nice to finally tick it off. He was 9th after dressage on a 33.8, rose to 5th after the SJ after a clear round and somehow climbed to win after going clear xc in the time. Jumping phases caused lots of trouble, even though our course didn't have the tricker parts of the area festival tracks.

Sorry to read of your EOC @Michen - glad you'd already had the fun of XC though!

And here's the video of all three phases... Think I'm going to w/d from llanymynech next weekend and start his month's holiday now. He's got so much talent, just needs to get strong and not be a weedy baby... 90 xc isn't enough for him, but I want him to feel more established SJ before we move up.

was thrilled to spot this result yesterday and was eagerly awaiting photos/vids - thanks for posting, and I hope he enjoys his hols.

Clever little Bog! Ironically got some too slow faults where he decided to stop dead at some streams and then I took him for a swim in the deep end of the main water and had to sail our way out ?View attachment 98026

I don't understand, even in a Championships, how that can possibly be BE90 fence!

Well done, M.

Not competing at all, but certainly training: went to the beach on a camp!

First day someone accompanied me for a photo shoot, just the two of us, which was a fab introduction to the sea for him.

Second day was mount up at 4am and ride out in the dark in a big group to get to the beach for the sunrise. It was all going just great until the sun was perfect, the photographer wanted everyone to canter through this one spot, but everyone went every which way, horses and dogs galloping everywhere and somehow baby horse ended up on his own as everyone high tailed it out of there!

I am well aware of how lucky I am that he remained in control, especially when people started to gallop back. He was most certainly 'high' but was such a good boy.

This morning I again went there with just one companion to have a more relaxing ride. BH was super-cool, cantered along the beach, paddled in the sea, just a perfect end.

I think he can have a couple of days off now!

He has one more camp in 2 weeks, then he is having shoes off for a while to be let down so we can bring back into work around Xmas.
