So sorry for your loss Blodwyn. And @j1ffy I hope the MRI gives you a better steer on what to do - fingers crossed you get some good answers and solutions.

Up here we're getting into the swing of pre-season prep. Had excellent dressage lessons on both horses on Saturday - and I'm convinced that Simon (12yo TB) for the first time in his life actually tried to open through the shoulder in medium trot. So maybe perseverance works - only been working on that for 6 years. Haha.

Then yesterday was a trip up to Lancashire for some BS. Isaac was really good again - a double clear in the British Novice, only missing out on prize money by a fraction of a second. Then a clear in the 95cm blue chip qualifier class - which was a very full up 95 with a water tray (shock!). Went through to the jump off and just tapped the double on the way in - but was tiring by that point and he really made an effort over the last few after that. Very pleased with progress.

Then Simon got his first trip out since September - went into the disco/1m with him as he's only had 2 little jumps at home since coming back from his splint bone issue. He seemed happy to be out, jumped a double clear, and I did throw in a silly jump-off turn which meant we sat at the top of the leaderboard for a long time. A few speedy ones at the end pushed us down to 4th, but that was still in the prize money, so happy days!

Videos of all 4 rounds in order here:

We had great fun on our hedge hopping clinic... however got home and he was very dramatically not weight bearing on a front leg, so currently on a lovely big bed, had a bute and hopeful it's just a foot bruise or something.
He is known for being dramatic so fingers crossed! ? Definitely no SJ tomorrow though.

Yes with Vitt.
We now have swollen knee but much sounder so bute until Friday and the ultrasound and/or xray. I'd rather get it checked for peace of mind regardless as we have a busy season planned and I don't want any niggles.

Fingers crossed millitiger! Chilli's MRI is also booked for Friday, hopefully we're both having a celebratory glass of wine by the evening...

I had a terrible dream last night that he died and woke up in floods of tears so I think wine is needed either way!
I hope Chilli gets a good result too x
Bloody horses, who would choose this as a fun hobby??!

Oh no!! It sounds like he's improving so I'm sure he'll be fine - I don't think horses can die of x-rays or ultrasounds in real life ;) Chilli's looking sounder and brighter in himself so also seems to be improving, like you it's just more diagnostics to see if there are any niggles to keep an eye on...
