Weekend Turnout times. Do you turn out the same time as weekdays

Just a general musing as we seem to be the only people that turn out at the same time 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Generally our horses are out at around 7.15-7.30am, with the last lot being turned out at 8 at the absolute latest (have to make several trips and fields are mile away).

We have a friend who's horses are out by 6.15am every weekday morning (she starts work early) yet often does not turn up to do them until 11ish in a morning at a weekend. She is actually one of quite a few people that I know who does this.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not berating anybody for their choice in how and when they turn out but we seem to be quite a rarity these days, in that I like my horses to be out early or at least in tune with their normal routine. I know none of mine would fret about it - I have seen them on the really bad awful days last year where they stood in, plus our evening bring in routine can vary by an hour or so and none will create out in the field if it is dark.

Again, not a criticism of how people do things, just wondering if we were alone in this!
 
I'm at the yard 6am on work mornings and about an hour later on non-work mornings, evenings its around 5.30pm on work days, earlier if not.

Most of my neighbours are the same, except 1. Hers come in at 3.30pm every day on the way home from infant school, in the morning she comes around anything from 9am to 10.30am. I thought maybe she does a late check (which I do to mine on the very rare occasions mine come in much earlier than usual), but when I asked her groom who does them 2 afternoons a week, she said no - they just have full trugs of water & loads of hay to keep tham going. I do feel for the old stiff mare tho as she calls and calls from first thing for attention.
 
They get fed at the same time or earlier as one livery often arrives early and feeds for me at weekends, turnout varies as some get ridden before going out so it really depends on who is coming when, if a livery chooses to turn up at 11 then the horse will be fine having had it's breakfast and some hay.
Today all are out apart from one who is currently being clipped, he will then be exercised and turned out for the rest of the day, the other owners are riding this afternoon but tomorrow will probably ride in the morning then turnout afterwards.
 
Ours are at home so it's easier in some ways for us, we try to keep to the same routine but times can vary if there are other things going on. I find I wake up at the same time anyway as body-clock gets used to it. Hubby works shifts so we don't have weekends in the same way as others. The ponies seem pretty cool about it - it helps that they are brought in/turned out/fed together and that they are on ad-lib forage.
 
Ours go out between 6am an 6.30am in the week (we all work full time) and at about 8am at the weekend and they could not care less about the difference. They often come in earlier at the weekend too, simply because we can if it's horrid weather and, again, don't mind in the slightest.

I worked stupid hours on Thursday, getting home around 1am Friday morning, and still turned out at 6.30am but that was because I had to work on Friday morning so was to suit me rather than them. Today, mine and fieldmate are out and the others are staying in because of the weather - none of them will fret as they are used to us swapping things around. That came in really handy during Bonfire week as my stressy lad stayed out with his mate and the others came in.

In a nutshell, as long as they have plenty to eat and are warm enough, we seem to be able to be completely relaxed about timings. The only time they are ever bolshy is if the grazing is not good enough and they have run out of hay in bad weather.
 
Mine goes out anytime between 6am and 8am weekdays. At weekends I sometimes push it to 8.30/8.45 but never any later and I always feel guilty even though he always has hay and doesn't care!
 
Mostly yes I do the same times- 5-5.30am out and around 6pm to come in. If I feel like I will want a lie in I'll give extra hay but generally his stable is a tip if he's 10 mins late out! (And he stands by the gate to come in if I'm late on an eve too!).
 
mines out between 8 and 9am just so she gets the most of the daylight before being brought in. I don't keep her on a strict routine so that she doesn't stress if i cant do things at exactly the same time for whatever reason. The other day she went out at 9.30 as i forgot to set my alarm, apart from being a little impatient, it didn't kill her.
 
Turn out pretty much same time every day- 8.30-9ish. I work shifts so if I've worked the night before I go straight to yard,if I've not worked I go at same time as I'm not a getting up at crack of dawn sort of person & that time suits me,1 horse has ad lib hay & is perfectly happy until then,other horse lives out so he doesn't care! I've been on yards when people don't turn up until 11ish & I dislike that, if I'm going to be late I'd ask someone to turn out for me.
 
Week days mine are out from 6:30-7:00am and brought in around 18:00pm

Weekends they got out between 8:30-9:30am and come in around 17:00pm, they don't seem to mind a lie in on the weekend
 
I turn out between 8am and 8:30 most mornings, but sometimes it may be a bit later (9am) if I have my daughter in tow as well, or I get stuck in traffic. Doesn't really make any difference what day it is, it's the same at weekends as it is in the week.

They come in between 4 and 5. We are on time restrictions for bringing in on this yard, whereas my last yard you could bring them in whenever you liked, so I would often bring in mid/late evening. Summer time they are out 24/7. Luckily my mare isn't too fussed about being in during winter, she is actually very eager to get back in by 4/5pm.
 
Mine live out these days, but in the past their turnout times have varied wildly. I've always worked shifts so they've had to fit around that. So one day they would be out maybe 6.30-6.30 and the next 10-10. You do end up with horses that don't get stressed if you're half an hour late which is great. I should say that I've always had more than one horse, I don't know how well it would work if just one horse on a yard had a wildly different routine.
 
Mine is out between 7am - 8am everyday, including weekends.
Unfortunately my body doesn't understand the concept of having an extra hour in bed at the weekend, so even if I wanted I couldn't leave him longer!
 
On work days they are turned out between 6 and 6.30 am at the minute. They are turned out slightly later at about 6.45 /7 am at weekends. I personally think it's really unfair to mess up their routine too much.
 
Mine go out same time every day regardless of days it's always 6.30am. I like them in the same routine as much as possible and even if I have the farrier or something, they still go out same time and then I just fetch in for farrier etc, then turn back out again. I'm lucky though as they are at home. I think as long as they at least all have their breakfast at the same time, I wouldn't be too critical of anyone who has a bit of a lie in on a weekend, however, IMHO, 11am is taking it a bit far! Horses don't understand that it's different at weekends.
 
Mine go out between 6.15-7am on a weekday morning, and 6.45-7.15 on a weekend (I seem to find it harder to get out of bed then!). The rest of the yard pay to have their horses turned out by one livery but as I live very locally I choose to do it myself. Mine are usually the first or one of the first out, and my youngster will get quite upset if he feels he's been forgotten about if I come up a little late by accident.
 
Mine tend to go out around 8am of a weekday, and no later than 9am on weekends. I get to the yard quite early, but I give hay to my friend's horses, muck out 2 stables, go for a short hack with friends, give breakfast to both, rugs for the day and stuff in between arriving and turning out. At weekends I don't get as much chance to ride so they usually just have breakfast and go out. If I am not at yard by 9 I start to feel twitchy and worried about them, I do know people who leave theirs til quite late in the day, and it's tempting sometimes, but I just couldn't do it.
 
as long as they have had breakfast at roughly the same time it doesn't matter what time they are turned out. mine has breakfast at 7.15am in the week and 8am at weekends..if I ride she will go out when I get back, if not about 45 mins after having breakfast(which is a small haylage net). at the moment comes in at 3.40 as we have to walk down the lane....would prob be half hour later if we were in the field at the yard..
 
Same every day (7.15) though they often stay in in the morning for us to ride so then go out closer to 10. Come in usually at about 3, but earlier if we want to ride or its miserable out! They're staying in tomorrow as we're off competing in the evening and have cleaning to do (unrugged coloured!). They're adaptable :)

This exactly. Mine goes out between 6 and 6:30 every day. I can't cope with leaving him longer. I get twitchy!!!
 
My boy goes out between 730 and 830 weekdays and weekends - I can't leave him longer as he will have run out of hay and I hate to think of that! Tbf he probably has eaten all his hay some hours before this hence why I try not to keep him waiting any longer. If someone gave him some hay in the morning he could probably stay in longer but I'd rather just get up and see to him. Also when he has been in so long, I try to give him some time out before I ride rather than keep him in tim I ride at, say, 10.
 
Mine go out at about 5.30 am if I'm working (3 mornings a week) depending on weather. The rest of the week including weekends, they are fed at between 5.30 and 7am. Turnout depends on whether I am riding or not. Weekends, in the winter, I feed early, leave in, go and have cooked breakfast, then go and ride before turning out.

I do too. Glad it isn't just me. Even during the summer when everything is turned out 24/7 and I know they have plenty of grass and safe fencing, I still like to be on the yard for 7.30 - just in case! I did actually have a lay-in this morning until 7am as the sister had turned out for me but by 7.30 I needed to be down there, even knowing they were all out, happy, warm and had their breakfast.
 
Mine goes out up to 1 1/2 hr later at weekends. Whilst we do more or less have a routine, I work full-time, husband works shifts, so the horse does need to fit around us to some extent. I have to try to balance work/horse/life as best I can. She doesn't seem to mind being in a little longer, and in fact when the weather is rubbish she is kept in for longer and she always seems pretty appreciative of this.
 
My weekend and weekday routines differ. Because I work evenings and weekends, I'm more free on weekdays, so she will have a five days on, two days off routine. Weekdays I'll be with her from 9, then turnout after working with her and bring in at 3. Weekends I am less free, so it will be turnout from 9 and bring in again at around 3. She's not on hard feed currently but I would usually go back to check on her/ refill haynets in the evening. During the worst weather, turnout will be restricted so on those days (whether weekday or weekend), I will exercise her morning and afternoon (at 9 +3). I'm on DIY livery.
