How there just a quick question for you all, what weight of rugs do you have on your horse just now. Mine is clipped so have two on as its really bitter.

The two of mine who are out over night are in rainsheets as they are ridden and I need to keep them clean (one is 21). My other is naked and although he's a TB x he's never cold and has hair like a yak :D

One of the two ISH project horses is naked the other is in a medium weight as she's recovering from a virus. Both are part stabled and out suring the day.

None of them are clipped and the one who was trace clipped last year only wore a 40g turnout.

My blanket type clipped horse is out in a 200g with neck atm :)
Don't know what rug she'll have on tonight (stabled)- most likely her 200g standard neck with a sheet underneat depending on how she feels.

oh my I feel positively cruel compared to you lot! Mine has a blanket clip and is out in a full neck 200g medium 24/7. When fully clipped she was only out in a heavy and never ever has more than her 300g heavy on!

my is fully clipped and in full time she was in a fleece and a lightweight to medium weight turnout as she was new to me and i had other things to spend my money on then new rugs. however santa delivered a heavy weight stable rug that she is really warm in and i love. she has a big bed at the moment as well for extra warmth

My fully clipped fjord has a 300gm combo turnout on & a MW stable rug on underneath. My other fjord has a blanket clip and he has the same combo turnout on, and a LW/MW turnout on over this. The combo turnout is missing the bottom of it so if I put a stable/fleece on underneath it will just get ripped/wrecked...so he has 2 turnouts on! He's a chronic rug-ripper and he already got a 2 new turnouts this year...and he isn't getting another one! Ponies, eh?!
