some horses really do have pointless, and down right weird registerd names... the horse that i am producing now is a coloured called sky.. and her registerd name, it actually says on her passport in capital letters ...ONE!!

how pointless and lazy is that, jesus some people have no creativity lol i mean atleast they could have called her.. 'the one' or number one... god when people ask ooo how lovely whats her registrd name... umm... one?
And another.. we bought a C stallion some time ago and found out on his passport his name was HEDGE!! his breeder said oh he looked like hed been dragged through a hedge backwards when he was a foal see we called him that :S lol haha anyways anyone else heard of some ridiculous names?

Unbelievably or not, Bodey’s passport name was Steve, who would call a horse Steve? (Ok the gypsies did).
Thank goad he didn’t know his name, so I could change it!

the worst i've heard of was a racehorse called "Poor Skin"... it was supposed to be "Poor Skiv" (the owner's nickname for his wife, iirc) but his handwriting was so bad that the horse got registered as "Poor Skin".... i heard about it because a bewildered vet spent ages checking the horse to find its skin complaint, before realising that was actually its name...!
there was an eventer a while back called The Backbreaker. i cannot get my head around calling a horse that!
i can't believe the awful names people saddle horses with. i spend YEARS picking names for mine!

try "under suspicion" for one of mine - although in fairness he was the full (younger) brother to Barton Bank! and in his case, aptly named... bless!

The two strangest names I have seen on passports are 'HEYCHFER' ....... as in 'H for horse' and one was on a cow passport.

The cow's passport said it was called '**** Calf'........ the first word rhymes with a feline and starts with a T. (Hope i dont get in trouble for this)

Lived up to its name when it escaped and ran round the village causing chaos for two days!!

My 28yo German pony came to me with the passport name and stable name of Sandra!! WTF?! Her owner was also called Sandra! Bizarre! We promptly started calling her Sandy, which isn't so bad.

one of my previous horses was registered as "private parts". As much as it pained me, I paid the money to change it.
