So I got on my youngster today...all was well...had someone leading him and then he slipped and started to buck
On about the 9th buck I hit the deck  Had my BP on so not too bad but my lower back is really quite sore...off to A&E for a check up now just in case :o

Oh dear, I feel your pain! I was there a few months back although mine got me in just one buck! Mind you, it was the 2nd time in a week! Lol. Hope you’re ok. I thought I must have fractured my pelvis but turns out just bad bruising, although it was horrid and I couldn’t walk normally for 3 weeks, felt like my pelvis was being ripped apart!

Sounds like he really meant it.. Hope you are ok. I got unseated on Tuesday (sudden stop instead of jumping..drat) and the BP did its job very well.

Schooling a youngster last year, a few weeks after backing, so nothing demanding. She had been really easy and so she took me a bit unawares when she suddenly started broncing around the school. Fell off on to some really hard frozen sand. Back still aching in one spot. Decided there and then that at 57 I was too old for this game and have only ridden about twice since (and then with great trepidation). Bloody horses

Just out of A&E...nothing serious, just some nasty muscular bruising to the lower back.
I have a severely disabled child so I can't afford to get too broken. ..so I'm going to bow out gracefully and get professional help with him :o
He was backed as a 2 year old. ...by a dealer who sold him saying he was a 3 year old  He has been chilling in the field for a year to grow up some more.
Anyway up...I need help with him now, Im as far as I can get without help...I dont want to scare him or wreck the trust and confidence he has in me :( We have come a long way in the last year.
