Wellie killers, what do you wear?

I live in my £20 decathlon wellies. They are actually called schooling boots and are like the old fashioned rubber riding boots so you can ride in them too but I usually change for riding. At £20 you can’t moan and it doesn’t matter how dirty they get.

Michigan neoprene wellies. £35. Seem to be lasting well and kept my tootsie's warm in minus 16 this week. Good grip in the snow too. Quite heavy but I guess you can't have everything!

My grubs frontline lasted 4 weeks. I hated them as well, horrid looking things.
I like Ariat wellies for warmth and comfort but they tend to split within a few months.
My current wellies are a pair of tall wellies from Amazon, neoprene lined and cost me £30. They’ve outlived all the expensive brands by over 12 months.

I've tried nearly every brand and been disappointed by how quickly they begin to leak, including Aigle, Ariat, Hunters, Muck Boots etc, etc. The Aigles lasted 6 weeks before the first split appeared.
Discovered Bogs Essential Light wellies and I just cannot fault them. They're light to wear but very toasty and robust. Still perfect after 3 years of dog walking, mucking out and trudging through muddy horse fields.

I'm surprised your Aigles have broken so soon. My first pair lasted 9 years (they're still usable and I keep them at the farm as an emergency pair in case I have to call in on the way home from somewhere but they split across the toes where they bend - they're still waterproof for odd jobs thanks to the neoprene) and my second pair are in winter number 3 now. If they're breaking at the heel, could it be te way you're taking them off? I always use a boot pull - I ave one at home and one at the yard for swapping into riding boots which I think has helped avoid issues like that.
Mine are 4 years old and worn 10-18 hours every day for horses, farm work and dog walking and are still like new apart from where the piglets have ripped the side buckle off

mine are the mens parcours, I find mens wellies tend to last a little better

Dunlop Purafort for me. First pair lasted 2 years which is a year longer than the Gruubs. I bought the second pair for about £50 a couple of months ago. I do put trail running insoles in them for comfort and because the size 4 is a little loose.

I've now bought these: https://dunlopboots-uk.com/collections/wellingtons/products/blizzard-wellington-blue-black
Seriously toasty and comfy so far, not that tall which is perfect for me as I'm a short-ass, plus the drawstring top means I don't get hay and bedding down them!
My sister took note of your recommendation and invested in a pair of these. Arrived to day and she is delighted with them, very light, comfortable and fit really well. Just have to find out how durable they are now.

Im intrigued in how they last, tbh if I get one winter out of them, then that means I’m still £££s in pocket as no other boot I’ve had has managed much longer than that!

Also, the grip on them is impressive. The yard has been sheet ice with rain on top and although I was careful I could walk easily across!

Do you hose them off after mucking out? They last a lot longer if you rinse off the ammonia.

My current aigles are 3 years old and still going strong despite every day wear all year for both dog walking and poo picking- also beating for full days in the shooting season. My previous pair only lasted 18 months before splitting where yours have.

The big change has been that my mare now lives out- no more standing in wee!!

I loved my Ariat pair but they split really badly quite quickly (so much so that Ariat gave me a refund). I’ve gone for a pair of muck boots this year. So far so good and very comfy!
