So did I, and my family have had Welshies for the last 50 odd years!I think smooth collie x, they look a bit more Roman nosed than the rough I think.
He is a stunning dog and a lucky boy.
I thought Welsh Springers were meant to be quieter and easier than the English? No one told Idris.![]()
That’s neat @Moobli. How did you get the name?
When I search on iPhone with Google lens, I don’t get a name just lots of photos of Dachshunds underneath Wilfie’s photo

iPhone referred to my Connemara 3yo as a ‘common warthog’!!!! Not even a fancy warthog, just a common one!If you have the photo in the photo section in iPhone you just swipe up and it tells you just if thinks it is. It’s not always right though. It thinks my GSDs are Dutch shepherds, I’m guessing because they aren’t black/tan

That would be my guess to, plenty of saluki luchers and merle collies. Collie in lurchers is really popular as it increases brains and bidability you need that with saluki blood in there tooi'd put a large chunk of money on the new dog being collie/saluki/greyhound. you can see the saluki in his shape and the merle almost certainly came from a collie.
Absolutely not!!Beautiful! Is he showing any signs of calming down yet? (hope not)
It's around 6 or 7 they get a bit more "normal" isn't it? Good luck!Absolutely not!!
There are signs that there is a good boy in there, but mostly, he's a hooligan! It's around 6 or 7 they get a bit more "normal" isn't it? Good luck!
They are known for being a bit velcro! Idris will be left, and is quite happy for a bit, but my God does he go loopy when I get back! He's absolutely beautiful. Out of interest having had a fab one years ago her only real quirk was terrible separation anxiety despite lots of behavioural trainers help. Is that generally a quirk of the breed or just her?
Helpfully despite having let the breeder know as an adult she'd need to be left a few hours each day the breeder only mentioned well after we'd got her that the bitch had terrible separation anxiety as well![]()
Ah I did wonder yes she used to literally be by your feet all day. Funnily enough she did have cracking recallThey are known for being a bit velcro! Idris will be left, and is quite happy for a bit, but my God does he go loopy when I get back!
