Not for me, for her :)

He's gorgeous and SO well behaved!! I think she's going to get him :D
He's only 4, but he's very sensible.
He got barked at by a dog, went over a bridge, under a bridge, through traffic and met cyclists and joggers! He took it all in his stride :D

He's so beautiful and his show name will be Takoda Phoenix, but he needs a proper name if anyone has any suggestions? She'd like a Native American name :)

Rather irrelevant, but i would recommend she shortens her stirrups. They look rather long, and her knee is being pulled away from the saddle in one of the pictures.

Also, possibly showing my age, but my first thought where, Uggs, to trial a horse, especially a youngster, surely you'd want the correct and much safer foot wear?

Is she sure she can cope with such a young horse? Mine's young and saintly but it isn't straight forward to bring on a baby.......

Yep, she might not always wear the correct boots, but she's a good.
She turned a devil horse into a saint. That horse used to spin, rear, buck, jump out the school (with a ride ontop!) tank off and several other nasty things. By the end I think even a beginner could have got on and had a good ride.

He's popped a few jumps apparently. I don't know much XD I just sat on it for a few mins!
And yes, she could train him to :)

It's called GT at the moment, but she's like to change it :)

here's a website with male native american names: http://www.20000-names.com/male_native_american_names.htm

Horse looks sweet, but just tell your friend to go in with her eyes wide open and ensure she has someone to help her. I have a young horse and whilst he's great in so many ways he still is just a baby and has to be taught from the beginning and given lots of confidence. Is it her first horse out of interest?

Thanks ^^ I'll have a look! And nope, she's had...3 horses, I think?

Got a very sweet head on him, have to agree though the first thing I noticed was 'there's something wrong with that riders legs' lol, stirrups are v long and in uggs - stirrups obviously personal preference but I do hope you mention to her as sweet as he is she won't want to ride him (or any horse for that matter) in ugg boots just in case.

Phoenix is a lovely name, wouldn't that be a suitable day to day name? When's she likely to get him do you think, and can I have a ballpark figure of what he's going for? (I've asked, but don't feel obliged to answer if I've asked too direct a Q)

I don't particularly agree with the Uggs, but like I said, I can't do anything about it, I'm not her mother :P She will be getting proper boots soon though.

I asked her about Phoenix and she said although it's lovely, she'd like something different. He may end up as Phoenix though ^^ we'll see!
She'll probably be getting him in about a month and I think, think he's about £1900, BUT that is with all his tack, rugs, grooming kit, mounting block, tack boxes and quite a few other random bits and pieces AND a field for a year! (It's £450 per year)

Wow people relax, she posted a photo of a horse that her friend might get to show not a thread say critque my friend, her attire, riding ability and age of the horse and whether or not she is good enough to ride a horse so young!! :D:D

OP He looks sweet sounds like you're friend could have some fun with him :)

^^ agree with the rest but the footwear thing is a safety thing and HHO is a massive resource. It's good to see people challenging those practising bad safety, I'm sure the girl can do what she wants, but if it educates someone else reading not to ride without appropriate footwear - that's good in my book :)

But agree no reason to start cross examining A on behalf of her friend, she can't really answer much can she?! :)

Thank you! :) I think they're going to go far together! It seemed they really 'clicked' today :)

That's a bit of an odd, but quite convenient deal - horse, complete with field for a year - he's like a proper package deal!

Will you be able to be involved with him then, like riding every now and again, or was it just a one off accompanying to try him?
