Went down to West Wilts today, with mat_b, Cordy and a baby horse...

The baby horse jumped the 95cms open and had 2 poles which we were really pleased about because we have only had him a couple of weeks, we then had both entered in the Discovery, Mat jumped the baby horse first and again he had 2 poles but really jumped well and we were very pleased, we had Cordy in the collecting area because there weren't many horses between the two of them and she was being really well behaved so after a quick saddle change, Mat took Cordy out to warm her up...got in the warm up ring and there was a stallion in there... of course Cordy being the floosy she is, came straight into season and started being all girly but she settled well despite oggling the man in question!!
So... it was eventually their turn to jump and Cordy did a beautiful clear round and got through to the jump off, they were eigth to go in the jump off and did another lovely clear round and Cordy thoroughly enjoyed herself... and I think she was showing off to the stallion because she suddenly had a severe lack of brakes and it took Mat 3 laps of the arena to pull her up... **Sniggers** to be fair he could have probably have pulled up sooner if he wasn't having a fit of giggles about the lack of brakes!! he he! Anyway, she went into the lead and stayed there... so she won the Discovery Qualifier for Blue Chip in April

Well done and this year the finals are at Hartpury for the first time. My sister was there as well, she won the 95 on Spot, not sure how she did in the Disco with the chestnut.

WOW, well done what a result ,those competitions are so competitive, lucky you live near Hartbury with so many of the horses you have bred going to championships there this year.
Well done Mat, think it was a good days work when I recommended you to HG.
I'll have a glass of champers with you when you win

Thanks everyone!!

THE_carthorse... yes your recommendations are great, i think everyone should come to you for advice... you can be the hho agony aunt... he he... Aunty Carthorse!!

Thanks for the lovely comments guys! Glad we qualified just in time, shes just pushed herself out of Discovery money now! PHEW!
I could have done with a cheerleader!
I got some very stern looks from some of the other more serious competitors when I was in hysterics as cordy was galloping around the arena not wanting to stop, and Helen and HG where on the floor laughing. I even lost my stirrup!

She was SUCH a tart when I tried turning her away from the stallion towards the warm up fence she did a big girly squeal and bucked into canter ... the stallion didn't look vaguely interested!

Cordy has been known to terrify stallions... one poor stallion at ADC use to get intimidated even across the yard with a 60m outdoor arena between them!!

Whilst I think it is great you have done so well, you might want to consider that modesty is no bad thing....

You should do a competition report thread of your own, hardly anyone is going to read your news stuck in the middle of someone elses report thread
