Went down to West Wilts today, with mat_b, Cordy and a baby horse...
The baby horse jumped the 95cms open and had 2 poles which we were really pleased about because we have only had him a couple of weeks, we then had both entered in the Discovery, Mat jumped the baby horse first and again he had 2 poles but really jumped well and we were very pleased, we had Cordy in the collecting area because there weren't many horses between the two of them and she was being really well behaved so after a quick saddle change, Mat took Cordy out to warm her up...got in the warm up ring and there was a stallion in there... of course Cordy being the floosy she is, came straight into season and started being all girly but she settled well despite oggling the man in question!!
So... it was eventually their turn to jump and Cordy did a beautiful clear round and got through to the jump off, they were eigth to go in the jump off and did another lovely clear round and Cordy thoroughly enjoyed herself... and I think she was showing off to the stallion because she suddenly had a severe lack of brakes and it took Mat 3 laps of the arena to pull her up... **Sniggers** to be fair he could have probably have pulled up sooner if he wasn't having a fit of giggles about the lack of brakes!! he he! Anyway, she went into the lead and stayed there... so she won the Discovery Qualifier for Blue Chip in April
