What a nice welcome to h&h (not)

It sounds to me and I may be wrong, that you loaned the horse first to someone, who then encountered problems but didn't tell you, then they bought the horse, without mentioning there were any problems and now they decide to tell all on here there were problems before they bought and subsequently these problems are now jeopardising its future?!? Is this right?

Assuming it is, if they didn't tell you and you didn't know, what could you have done, you sold the horse in good faith (I assume) but they bought knowing there were problems. Thats their problem, isn't it?

If you are unwilling to let us know which posts you are referring to so we can make up our own minds and give you our opinions or confront the person head on I guess you may have to let this one go.

You sound as if you want to defend yourself but in all fairness we need to know both sides of the story. Also, if you drop the subject now, no-one will be any the wiser.

And you can stop worrying about being welcome on here - of course you are.

I hope this makes sense, I am tired.

I fail to see what that has to do with anything. Sorry. This is a forum - again, I suggest you pick up the phone and speak with the person to whom you sold the horse.....
 
I can't think what posts you are refering to but if you want to join in on this forum, sort out your problems with the owner of the horse in question privately and carry on posting. We will all be non the wiser and in no time I am sure you will be feeling at home and addicted

Ok, I believe I have found the post in question. The pony has laminitis, is that correct. Sounds like the owner/loaner is doing the best for th pony in the given situation. If it is the correct post, it sounds like it could be.

TBH Feathers, this place is very forgiving and very open minded, provided everyone is either told the whole truth - or not told anything at all.

Now that you have told half the truth, I do feel like you might as well just get everything out in the open, either on here or in private with the new owner and just get it sorted.

No point pussy footing it around, you both have the horses interests at heart, sometimes in the heat of the moment, emotions run high and people get over excited.

A level headed chat between two adults will likely solve this problem and you can get on enjoying the forum.

If you have spent the last few months as you say reading what has been put on this forum then you saw at the time what was being said? So why didn't you confront the person then and get it sorted? No one knows who you are talking about and as you were not a member they won't know who your user name is so there would not be a problem. If you sold them the love of your life then why did you sell it. Offer her the money back and take the horse back?? Or did you know there was a problem and just sold it on and now feel guilty? Sorry to sound harsh but your not explaining it very well. If you are not bothered about the horse and only your name? As I said no one knows who you are so leave it or sort it.

thanks people for thoughts, comments and general advice. I feel better now and will speak to her face to face. I hope that I have not annoyed anyone with this post and thank you again for the help and support.

Moving forward I hope to be able to share with you happy stories, advice that I may be able to give and funny stories that might entertain you, rather than depress you at this time of night.

nb only realised it was her due to a post within the last couple of days that named horse in the title. Pretty distinctive name.

oh my god!!! I am not getting into naming names as mentioned above but it is there plain as day! Anyway, think I have it sorted now we are going to talk it through and sort things out.
 
Being sarcastic. I really can't find anything in NL, Vets or StableYard. The only distinctive names that I can find are Daphi, Phoebe and Sol. Sol's fine, we all know about poor Phoebe so that only leaves Daphi. Mmmm

Although, seeing as it's friday night, I would have thought he'd be down the park with his mates and a few bottles of Tesco Value cider.
 
this was the issue i found, Daphi was the only one we cant account for, however with all the issues with Jordan recently (which i am not taking sides in) i darent speculate
