One has a new rug, already used. The other has a sheepy fluffy numnah, also already used! They may be getting a house, too (shelter)... oops!

Mine spend Christmas Eve morning delivering cards to local friends and neighbours - and usually manage to cadge bits of carrot and other edible morsels from everyone.

Probably some carrots popped into their feeds. I don't buy them anything but my presents are usually for them so they do benefit :)

My boy's getting an early gift from my parents (with me adding to it!) of a Bucas Power Cooler in the full neck version. In Fact it should be arriving from 'over the water' today! :)

I'm buying the two better looking ones a photoshoot!

But they'll have to wait until spring coats/ more attractive weather.

Nothing this year - last year he had a Harrods grooming brush & Thermatex from Olympia but as I'm not going to Olympia & certainly not planning a big spending spree he can make do with an advent calendar & stocking full of treats!

To those who say "nothing because horses don't have any concept of Christmas"... do you see Christmas as a giving or a receiving event?
I give at Christmas. My horses therefore receive useful "gifts". They don't get me anything, and that's what proves they don't understand Christmas! They leave me "presents" every day, but that's just life with horses ;)

Nothing, but if money could buy it Tinner would have confidence to travel, and I would buy Finlay a slightly better attitude and for Harl... Well, I would turn back time, I love him and feel sad to see him age.

Oh if only we could buy them time :) I'd buy my dad's horse another 10 years so he can see my old father to the very end of his days. My dad loves this horse whom he has owned since he had a heart attack in his mid 60's Luke is 20 now my dad almost 80 but Luke is ageing faster than dad and I can see a very sad day ahead - also think my dad will age rapidly himself once he stops riding. I'd buy them both some more yrs together if only I could

Christmas is totally about giving gifts & spending time with Ioved ones (horse included!). However, the horse doesn't go without the rest of the year & disposable money is less at Christmas (due to increases gift, food socialising costs) - so I'm not going to buy a nice, but not necessary gift for my much beloved horse when I can least afford it & he really doesn't know it's Christmas. He'll be plenty happy with a token food gift - it's me that secretly covets a nice saddle pad or new headcollar, that'll keep until another month!

He gets everything he needs & then some the other 364 days a year :)

I see it as just another day, tbh, and keep to my normal routine. Horses included.
