My youngster is two in june not really done much with him, he's handled everyday good for farrier vet grooming bathing ect...been for short walks with mum..but really just been lazing about being a youngster..I'm feeling he needs the next stage in life?? so just wondering what your doing with yours??

Naff all! Other being brought in to feed, and groom, or have feet done, he is pretty much left out to play with his friends all day.

Well I thought mine needed something to think about, so i've bitted and begun lunging, only 5-10 mins, once a week/fortnightly, and he's off to his first in hand show just for some ring craft experience this weekend, which should be fun!!! He's an ungainly oaf standing at 15.3 already so expecting legs everywhere!! At home he's turned into a puppy dog, but never know what'll happen in a show environment!!! Hence we're starting just at a little local one!

Rising 3, leads off her mum when I ride out, long reins, and gets ridden a bit in the round pen.

Nothing!- mine will be 2 in a couple of months, and he's been handled, he's groomed, he leads, ties up, has his feet trimmed, and travels if i wanted him too (he loves to travel!!)but apart from that he spends his time in the field being a youngster, and he won't do anything more than that 'til he's about 3 1/2 to 4 yrs old as theres no rush!

Mine is growing and playing at being a baby horse.

She practises picking up her feet, being tied up and led around, goes for trips on the truck and does the odd show in hand. She won't be doing anymore until she turns 3yrs.

My rising 2yr has been bitted and had a roller on, just starting to have a play around with lunging, shes quite dominant so i would like some ground rules and basics before she gets too big for her boots and grows bigger too. She comes in once a week for a groom but we only 'play' every few weeks so nothing to taxing on her. The aim for this year is to go to a show :) and continue playing out in the field with her friends.
