What are you feeding your horses at the moment

My welsh a gets a handful of Hifi lite and a bit of hay(he's still fat) my cob gets a similar handful of Hifi lite and ad lib hay ( he's not fat but drops weight if you limit his hay) and a DWB who gets 4 hard feeds a day 2 of slobbermash and 2 with conditioning cubes with oil and show shine chop with adlib hay.. And he's a bit thin to be going into winter tbh, just goes to show.. X

mine is on happy hoof and topspec lite, he's a laminitic welsh D X conn but hasn't had it for 3 years *touch wood* and he's done so well on it, kept his feet really nice and he put on loads of condition without the fizz (seriously don't need any more of that!) xx

my 3 yr old gets half scoop of balancer and half scoop of mollichop :) the oldy (27) gets a full scoop of old people mix (spillers senior) and a biiig scoop of mollichop, she also gets sugarbeet in winter if she drops a bit of weight :)

Just grass currently! Luckily, the top field always stays lush with grass even throughout winter. You can put haylage out for them and they'll still the choose the grass over that - had a whole bale left in the feeder which had to be taken out in the end. We put a big red rocky in the fields as have youngstock in there so no tail chewing.

Will go back on Coprafeed Coolstance over winter or as soon as I think he's going to start 'dropping off' however.

IDxTB, 15.3hh, 16 years, off work for last 6 weeks () has half a scoop of Alpha A, with 1 cup Farrier's Formula each day, a dose of Nupafeed Calmer (end of head-shaking season, and BOY! does it do the job!) and that's it. Oh, and an apple or two per day.

He's out 24/7 atm with no rug on.

They are both very good doers, Sophie more so than Will. Sophie has handful of Happy Hoof with 30ml of garlic and codliver oil. Will has two handfuls of Happy Hoof and two of high fibre nuts. Not much or very complicated!

My 9 year old TB mare is on one feed per day of Readymash Extra - the field she is in is amazing - 5 horses on two acres and they're all fat! The grass never seems to stop growing! And they have been on this field since April.
The 21 year old TB who is in another field has just gone onto two feeds a day. He gets a handful of alfa A original, half a scoop of D&H 16+ mix and some speedibeet twice a day. For some reason the boys field is never quite as lush and he seems quite hungry, hence why I have just put him onto two feeds per day.

My TB gets 1 scoop Alfa A oil, 1 scoop of Conditioning flakes and 1/4 scoop of Bran.

The youngster just gets half a scoop of chaff to stop her sharing the TB's feed and the Section A gets nothing except grass (and not even much of that :D ).

My horse was out at grass and getting a small handful of chaff so we could feed hoof supplement.
She has since had a spell of illness and has raised liver enzymes so she been on haylage at night and at grass during the day. She also has a change of diet due to the enzymes. So she has just changed onto 1 small handful of speedi beet and 1 small handful of micronised barley so she can have a hoof supplement in. if she didnt need the hoof supplement she wouldnt be gettin hard feed at all.

half a scoop of Alfa A with oil, another half scoop of Alfa A normal stuff and half a scoop of Bailey's No. 4 cubes!!

He's also out in the field every night and chomps through a large haynet during the day in his stable.

He is a 18hh young TB in a lot of work though :o

About 2 handfuls of pasture mix (bought because I wanted something cheap that would encourage him to eat), a handful of hi fi lite and his supplements (Boswellia and Cortaflex). In winter I'll probably buy a proper balancer and see how his weight/energy are.

Grass, with supplement joint powders in a hollowed out apple ! (shes a porker in summer so no hard feed yet) and salt licks if that counts.. and too many carrots and apples as tit bits.

in the winter she has handfull of chaff, mix, cod liver oil, apples n carrots, and ad lib hay

900g of winergy equilibrium high energy twice a day for our 14hh cob + out grazing for few hours in the day.Probably cut down a bit or change to medium energy over the winter depending if we get snowed in again or not :D

Grass.......:D

Yep, me too. BH is just out eating. He looks well. Aren't we radical?! :D

Nitty is at the vets so is eating whatever they feed her. I have no idea most of the time. I know she had some ready grass this morning though as apparently she was visibly ecstatic about it. Pig!
