Any specific horsey aim?

Mine's to attend a meet or two on coblet after christmas hopefully. Other than that, just crisp winter hacking a freshly clipped horse I guess [First time for that and all! May just be a 'fresh clipped horse' watch this space].

Other than that.....I'm looking forward to Spring so I can go back to Africa lol.

Errr.....*Thinking hard*....urrrmmm....I'm looking forward to the END of Winter!! Already completely sick off it and it's not even started :(

I'm looking forward o getting the money together to send baby horse (well he is six so not really a baby) to be backed after christmas ready for the spring :)

And hopefully now I've sort of figured out how to stop little appy from getting recurrent abscesses riding him more

Nice clipped horse, hacking and the hunting season... yeah that's where it stops.

Definitely not cold nights, early mornings, £100 hard feed bills, mucking out, crap weather and snow! Roll on spring again!

I have only just started riding my cob again regularly and having lessons again after about 15 years so I looking forward to continue my education over the winter so that by next summer I will be confident and competent enough to enjoy my lovely horse again.

I love hunting in the winter, & having my mare looking all smart hunter clipped - oh, and the snow, so long as no meets or events are canceled due to it. But the mud & cold - it's utterly awful. And standing in the freezing cold morning with my toes & fingers burning with pain trying to hold a cold clipped horse for the farrier ;)

So yes, I like it a bit and no, I don't like it very much.

Agree entirely with this, especially the bit about the clipped horse & hunting season.

Absolutely nothing, neither of my horses are suitable to hunt and they both start to drop weight which equals lots of money on hard feed! Just cant wait till spring really..

I'm bemused at having an easy winter feed wise for the first year in ages.....forgotten what a good doer was like! One cob and ten acres with a few sheep and cows.

Getting my horse going this winter, long reining & hacking out on crisp, cold mornings & starting one of the shetlands for my son

Cold, crisp, sunny days for hacking when you can wrap up warm :) and starting my new job so I can actually have money (which I will then spend at Olympia).
