what are you up to this Xmas eve?

chilled out watching films this morning,
went for a nice hack this afternoon and now just sitting infront of the logburner
before going out to feed the horses and check the cattle:rolleyes:

Worked this morning, sorted the boy out and rode in a gale of wind and rain, sulked when the blue sky appeared, cleaned house and now slobbing on the sofa.

Headed down the yard this morning to do a big muck out (I deep litter and muck out every Monday) didn't expect to ride because the rain was torrential. Horses had to stay in because fields were flooded so as the rain abated I took my boy in the school for half an hour and I am pleased to report our improved canter on Friday was no fluke :) Then I helped my friend who has a young bolshy cob with some ground work exercises and she now has a good plan of how to move forward (good deed :) )

Sat now watching christmas films with OH and our son and at 6 we will be off to carols by candlelight in the church to really get us in Christmas mood!

A nice little Christmas hack this year :D

Was going to meet bloke I've just started seeing for dinner but his plans changed... Met for about half an hour so will see what happens after Xmas....

So am now staying in, watching Lady and The Tramp while eating dry roasted peanuts with smoked salmon for tea :p

Oh and the cat wants to hump my arm.... Nice...

I love to cook and was about to start preparations for tomorrow, then I spotted what o/h has NOT done in spite of being asked to for over a fortnight.

I am officially on strike. Turkey still in the boot of the car. I am def in the mood to stuff something up an arse, it won't be the turkey's bum and it won't be sausage meat. (Sorry smiley faces don't work for me)

Lounging by the pool in Dubai moaning about the heat! Thought we'd treat ourselves to a good holiday as this year has been pure pants!
Miss my mud monsters though!

Why not try a desert hack, would be a change from mud monsters! Wish I was in Dubai with daughter and grandchildren who live there, instead of in wet old England!

Out tonight with friends who I have know for 50 years, we were all in Pony Club together when teenagers and are still friends.

Ponies munching happliy on hay igoring weather. Hens and geese agreed to go in early to avoid Mr Fox and help me have some time to get sorted for tomorrow!!

Good deed for the day at half eight, when we towed a stuck pick up out of a mud trap1 Worked until 1pm, and amazing, actually managed a quick ride! That's only the second time this month - and the first time was literally 15 minutes! Now watching The Lady and the Tramp, drinking Baileys, and thinking maybe crumpets with butter and marmite would be good...

Slept in, did a bike ride and just got the turkey in the oven for dinner tonight. Going to midnight mass and opening presents after.

Ended up cleaning tack and pony for Boxing Day meet as I know I won't have time tomorrow.
Also got roped into last minute baking for the girls at the yard as they literally begged for more chocolates and cakes as their christmas presents! First I was flattered, now at 9.15pm and still not even half done, I'm regretting it lol! ;)

Got woken up at 6:30 (unfortunately family doesn't believe in lie-ins even on my rare days off!), went out to do horses, then drove off to find some wrapping paper as we realised we had nowhere near enough. Then I came back home, and drove off in the other direction to put flowers on the graves of loved ones who are no longer with us for christmas. Visited my gran, came back home to muck out , did feeds & put horses in a bit earlier than usual, now doing final prezzie wrapping session!

was up at 5am, feed foals and horses and walked dogs and feed them. had shower, went to work until 5.30pm. then got a take away on way home yum yum. then out finish horses for evenig walked dogs again and now chilling and watching tv, have all my presents wrapped and ready to go, just waiting on family coming home.

lovely clear night here with lots of stars and lovely moon.

Wondering how I am going to get the family to take a spin on the nags tomorrow (as want to hunt on Boxing day) and if we turn them out tomorrow - we will have to get up at 6am to clean them up on Boxing Day (none of us keen) Also we have to clean tack tomorrow - and wash tails.......but we also want to enjoy Xmas day.......what a dilemma.....!

Normal day, but took my wee grandchildren out for tea this evening to let their parents get things all ready at home then we all came back to our house and watched the snowman and snow dog, loved it :D
Did night checks and put more hay in, then cracked the wine open and am scoffing chocolate thins, waiting on santa.
