I'm planning on taking the boy show jumping, hunter trials, cross country and possibly hunting. All this depends on my confidence and a new body protector.

To start believing in myself! I have a wonderful boy who would never hurt but can do the odd silly thing... I need to learn to trust myself and teach myself that I have pretty much handled everything he has thrown at me already and can deal with it!

So all in all, I need to trust myself and let us grow as a partnership :D

To treat myself for my 30th and finally get a pony of my own! :) OH wants us to move out and into a place just the two of us though. Not sure which one will win out!

Gosh long list 4 me!!

2 get horsey 'off my leg'
2 get a jumping saddle that fits horsey (long expensive story here)
2 finally jump whole course of British novice SJ (fell off @no 4 at 1st go)
2 watch horsey go eventing with my instructor I'm not brave enuf altho mite only b able 2 watch dressage & SJ then hide behind hands for XC!!

Now I feel i've no life cos they all horse related! :)

I think my plans are to:

To get in a more regular riding routine.
To get more riding lessons
To teach rose to drive
Maybe get out to a couple of shows this year that arent rained off

Get my rising 6 year old boy proper going at the BS, he only done a few 80cms, defo to disco by year end maybe even NC if all goes well.

Hi all,

Mines pretty simple really:

1. Get the nerve to start jumping in anger again. Hadn't ridden for twenty years before buying my lad last Jan. Done a few jumps - he's got scope but I haven't.
2. Take lessons on a riding school horse to regain my jumping nerve on a sensible schooled horse.
3. School ponio beyond dressage and point him at jumps - which he also loves.
4. Get ponio working in the school with other horses - he's had almost a year to get to know the other horses - so hopefully it shouldn't end with me launched off into the fence - like it did 6 weeks after I got him.
5. To enter the yards mini-gymkanha in August and at least earn a ribbon to take my tally up to two. (Even if it's a ribbon for last place :) ).
6. Be brave enough to join the local bloodhound hunt (our joint yard) next winter :D.

Get my rising 5yo to BE90 and jump her BN double clears - she is 5 in april :) also to get some decent % at prelim and most importantly enjoy it! I want to have fun with her :)

For my other horse who is 15 next year will hope to try county level Workers if he proves good enough at local level - we for excellent comments at his first one, just depends on whether he loads!
I will also aim to win our unaff points league, it's the first year this year they are having a league but we were pretty much unbeaten at 90cm and consistently placed 2nd/3rd in the 1m - looking forward to it :)

I'm hoping my first "competition" with my horse (first competition for YEARS) will be in three weeks time. Just got to get some transport sorted (or buy hoof boots so we can hack there) a nice, local dressage....thing to get us started and set the theme for the year.
I want to get in at least one ODE by the end of the year no matter WHO says not to bother.
Most importantly though, I need to get a job otherwise none of it is going to happen!

Oh also, I'd like to add that I'd love my husband to see me ride in a school and jump - he's been really supportive - we've been together for 17 years and he's never seen me ride. I'd love him to see me ride and show him the side of me he's never really known :D.

very lightly back my youngster who will be rising 3... (shes already had a saddle/bridle on etc just needs doing properly//)

long reining mostly! and in-hand hacks :) id like to have a sit on her by end of 2013 (note SIT not ride...!!)

then break her in properly in 2013 :)

-Get my boy jumping better and also for me to be more confident doing so (sadly he is so much better at it than I am!)
-Save up for a decent jumping saddle
-Enter show hunter and hopefully some working hunter classes and come home with at least one 1st placed rosette for the year (haven't shown a horse in over 30 years)
-Get my boy to overcome his fear of the dreaded clippers without Sedalin (woolly ears, feathers and too many whiskers never look good in the show ring).
-Start lots of lessons from a well respected trainer and hence 1. get my position right as leaning forward doesn't help get a trot to canter transition; 2. get my horse more responsive off my leg (yelling and pleading hasn't helped my horse listen and submit to my aids); 3. Get more than 4 strides of canter from him in the manage (as a very, very fast trot IS NOT a canter but hopefully sorting points 1. and 2. fix that).
-Move back to Oz and land my mahoosive neddy there safely and hope he settles.
-Relax and enjoy neddy and go from strength to strength.
-Failing all of the above finally realize that I've spent a fortune on little more than a hobby and come to the conclusion that I'd have been far better off financially taking up basket weaving or knitting as a hobby!

I want to go hunting next boxing day!
Neither me or my horse have hunted so I will have to take him to the earlier meets and exercise meets first. He's been resting in a field all winter and now I'm dying to get back into riding in the new year.

To treat myself for my 30th and finally get a pony of my own! :) OH wants us to move out and into a place just the two of us though. Not sure which one will win out!

LOL Simply say you will do that IF there is some land for you to keep a horse!! Good luck!!

Affiliate my ex eventer at elementary
6yr old to go Novice eventing (depends how his spavin copes)
Nutty 5yr old to go BE90 and scared 5yr old to consider joining him for the end of the season
4yr old to crack on and sell along with my 7yr old exracer mare to cut down on numbers
Finish taming the grumpy foal and sell her without any risk of her eating someone
Make a final decision regarding my 2yr old who has several health issues as to whether she will have a secure future and if not then deal with that
Oh, and think about a social life without horses!

To go to Hickstead, get my four DC in British Novice and get jumping Discovery and get four DC and maybe attempt a Newcomers at the end of the year (if Squig is going well). Also, I'd like to maybe, possibly, if I was very lucky, get a new horse, one to do the higher classes with :D

Horse wise, to send donovan off to be broken to harness hopefully beginning of March time, then find some competitions to go to, cant wait!
Personal wise, to be brave and re start the fostering process, and at last, have a houseful of children!!!:D:eek::D
