I'm planning on taking the boy show jumping, hunter trials, cross country and possibly hunting. All this depends on my confidence and a new body protector.
Hi all,
Mines pretty simple really:
1. Get the nerve to start jumping in anger again. Hadn't ridden for twenty years before buying my lad last Jan. Done a few jumps - he's got scope but I haven't.
2. Take lessons on a riding school horse to regain my jumping nerve on a sensible schooled horse.
3. School ponio beyond dressage and point him at jumps - which he also loves.
4. Get ponio working in the school with other horses - he's had almost a year to get to know the other horses - so hopefully it shouldn't end with me launched off into the fence - like it did 6 weeks after I got him.
5. To enter the yards mini-gymkanha in August and at least earn a ribbon to take my tally up to two. (Even if it's a ribbon for last place).
6. Be brave enough to join the local bloodhound hunt (our joint yard) next winter.
To treat myself for my 30th and finally get a pony of my own!OH wants us to move out and into a place just the two of us though. Not sure which one will win out!
