Hi, With my Xmas cash this year I want to buy a new bridle for my mare. She's snaffle mouthed. I've currently got her in an Albion K2 saddle and would of like matching Albion bridle but they are £213!!! Cant afford that much, so looking for a nice alternative. Have looked at the Sabre range too.. what does everyone have, do they like it and why did they choose what they have? Whats best quality and generally the best out there for a budget of about £100? Any replies appreciated. Im a happy hacker so nothing massively flashy!

majority of my bridles are Sabre. They last well (think my oldest is about 12years old and is still going strong)
its just what the local saddler had in when i was looking for a new bridle, however nowadays theres so much choice but i still go for sabre everytime.

As a one off and for something different my brother has agreed to buy me for Christmas, a bridle that my saddler is hand making for me cant wait for it to arrive.

ive got a sabre cordoba and i love it

I have a Jeffries - and it's lovely. I also have a cheaper bridle (half the price of the Jeffries) and it hasn't lasted half as well. It doesn't get used much either because it's supposed to be for 'special'.....

Same here, really nice bridles. I also have an IR bridle which is also nice, but more expensive.

jeffries IR, slightly out of budget but the best bridle i have ever had by far.
for £100 i'd go with sabre, or frank bainesss.

i have the most gorgeous kieffer bridle that cost £80 it is so nice, i love it!!! photo doesn't really do it justice but it is gorgeous. such lovely leather too. ok i will shut up about it now

Mine have an Albion KB, a Barnsby, a Fylde each and a Stubben. The Fylde are lovely quality and well within your price range and the Barnsby is lovely too and a comfort bridle.
Have you thought about a second hand KB off of Ebay?

I also have an Albion KB and it is lovely - really worth the money. I have a couple of kieffers and they have worn really well although I find the nosebands are really small.

I have the Jeffries IR and again that is a really nice bridle. I have another jeffries grackle and the IR is much nicer.

Sabre bridles are really nice and I used to have a stubben but got rid of it as my (now) horses prefer comfort headpieces.
