What budget do I need?

I've got a 17.2 version of what you want and if I were to put him on the market, I'd want 5 figures. They're like hen's teeth. Mine would be good enough to do workers as well.

As with all these posts there is a wide variety of interpretations as to what a buyer will take/expects will accept.
You could rock up to Irish horse imports and walk away with a 4yo 4K horse who in 6 months time could be just what is wanted.
You will note I did have quite a wide range!

I know a nice 6yo hunted but not competed who will be up in the 12-15 bracket (and I have no reason to believe won't sell at that) and another 6yo just sold for significantly more than that with 5 BE outings. Behind the scenes the really nice ones are selling for good money.

There will be plenty on the market on paper would fit criteria for smaller price 4-6k, but you'd be on a mission to find one that had been well produced and sound!

Yeah it is possible to get what OP wants for cheaper but you have to accept more training is necessary of course and i don't think OP wants that.

My horse for example could be almost what they want if he would behave. He is capable of doing 1.20 really we have seen him jump to almost the top of the wings with ease but he doesn'tdo a lot of jumping because he is only 7 and don't want a fast produced horse I want one that will still be sound at 20+. He is more than capable of dressage the few judges that have seen him love him and with a competent rider who can actually sit to his movement (I can't haha) he would probably win most of the time currently up to elementary. He can hack but never hunted as there are no hunts around here but i dont think he would be an idiot. But he is green because i am not pushing him and he was 3k to buy because he was skinny and underfed at the time.

He isn't what OP wants currently though as she wants a horse that can do everything right now so she will have to pay more. It is definitely possible to spend less though.

You are assuming I don't know this but in fact you are preaching to the converted.
The point I was trying to make was the OP was far too brief in description to give an accurate price.

I think it depends if you want something that has a good competition record at 110m. I bought one for £2,500 three years ago, could go round a track of fences that height I tried her at a comp centre over their course set up, had done novice dressage tests and hunted once safely, but didn't have any SJ competition record and was only 15.3hh. If you want one with a BS record at that level id say anything from £8,000

Is that the same as "I would have won that if we didn't have 3 down". :D

Was referring to the bits about good to catch clip shoe box etc. I can't answer any of those with a truthful yes as it depends on his mood and/or who it is. :P But they want a well behaved reliable horse and my boy doesnt match that at all. Not for sale either though pretty sure if I sold him the buyer would bring him back haha.

I was just agreeing with you really. Others seem to think you can't get it but you can.

I've got a 12 year old 16.2 warm blood gelding at home who ticks all your boxes and although he is not for sale I've been asked more than once if he is for sale and turned down an unsolicited offer of £15k
