What car do you all drive???

I love love love my fiat 500. Large fits all my horse stuff in in. The seats fold down at the back. £35 to tax. £38 for a tank of petrol last at least 500 miles and it was better than some 4X4's in the snow. If only o could fit my highland pony in it too!

I have been looking at other cars but just can not find anything I like thats up to the job and that I will not trash bumping along the farm track etc but now WelshD you have opened my eyes to the A class - didnt even consider Mercedes .. I think I may have to go and have a look at one - thank you.

You are welcome. I hadnt considered one either. I wanted an Astra van - not sure what happened but am glad I ended up with the merc, I've put over 35000 miles on it in just over a year and have driven it to all corners of the country. Mine is an older one, no idea what the new ones are like though.

Before that I had a company car a BMW 1 series. Another really fun rugged and tough car which I loved but my goodness was it useless in the snow!

We have a smallholding so whatever we have has to be tough, cope with whatever we throw at it on minimal maintenance and slot in to the family!

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Matiz. I didn't choose it, it was a surprising and very generous gift from a friend when my Smartcar died. :o

I drive a 1999 T reg Nissan Micra.

I've had it over four years now, and it hasn't let me down. I've kept it well serviced and it's only failed one MoT because of loose connection in a side light (which I asked the garage to fix before they MoT'd it - how annoying!)

It can do 50 miles per gallon on motorway runs and can make the speed limit even when fully laden. I've taken it through the channel tunnel and on to Belgium and the Netherlands. I've driven it through central London, central Brussels (crazy roads).

I've loaded it fully with camping and competition gear, used it "off road" for course inspections at events, driven it through a flood (nearly lost a number plate) and through snow without incident.

I'll be sad when I do have part with it.

I spend between £200-500 a year on routine serving and replacing any worn parts as soon as possible (CV joint started knocking, so had that done immediately - mechanic said the CV joint on his Mirca has been knocking for years and is still going). I made sure it had full service history when I bought it.

I'm loosing no money on depreciation - it's only worth about £500. Where else can I get a clean car with full service history for that much!

Real value.

Towing vehicle is a pajero, but that's mega on fuel.
Or the vectra.
Neither as good as my ikkle cords that I blew up on the M27 after years of service.
I did love my wee cords :(

We have a diesel pug 206 which is really good on fuel and I drive a nissan pathfinder as I only have to commute 2 miles and have it for when I need to tow.

We have a fiat multipla which is at the same time the best and also the ugliest car Ive ever owned! He looks like a big silver tick on wheels but I love him for his individuality! Very spacious and economical too.
My OH has a very old farm landrover which is covered in mud and cow poo and is his pride and joy!

Seat Ibiza, somewhat impractical horse wise but better than a lot of the other smallest cars! I generally love my car other than the fact it does not tow a trailer!

I can join the landy club - 90 defender hard top. I LOVE her, she has super big wheels, and mud terrain tyres :) and will soon have a radio - oh the luxury ;)
We bought her on eBay last summer, she was on the Orkney islands and we drove her all the way back to just outside London!
In an ideal world i would also have a fiat 500 arbarth for fun, but only when I win the lottery! Our other car is a jag estate, OH wants to swap it for a rangie this year but I'm very attached to the jag so holding out as long as possible!

Hi,

I don't need a tow car and drive a 2002 Vauxhall Agila - it's based on a 1.2 Corsa and with the seats down you can put a washing machine in the boot with room to spare :D
